As someone who once lived right off the Beltline at exit 2, this widening was badly needed. That being said, I'll always miss the old Western Blvd. road signs that just said "Cary."

No wonder we've got decaying schools in our cities. Teachers are underpaid. We can't afford to give our kids decent meals during the school day. Health cares in the toilet. We have a severe homeless population. Housing's too expensive except for the wealthy. Then we have money for this! Like housing, colleges only affordable again for the wealthy. Warmongers will say we have to have a strong military to maintain our democracy. Well, from the looks of it we're about ready to give it away to Trump. Go Raleigh! I am intrigued by the idea of "speed cushions." My living area (apt. complex), has "speed bumps." They can really be a nuisance. I tripped on one, broke my shoulder, lost some teeth and was hospitalized for four weeks.
