I have two Sako hunter S20 rifles both in the camo green color. 300 win mag and the 6.5 prs the 300 win mag has stiff recoil but with the muzzle break and heavier rifle weight tames the magnum down to very manageable rifle. the 6.5 prc is a efficient and powerful cartage hand loaded around 3050 fps extremely accurate out of my s20. 3/8 inch groups both rifles are my favorites now.

Old video, but I'm considering this rifle as my first real hunting rifle. I haven't owned a gun since 1983 (I was 13 when Canadian gun laws required a license), and I want to buy a rifle I won't want to sell after a couple of years - something worth buying accessories & great quality optics for. I'm aware of the Tikka brand, that they're a subsidiary of Sako, and I'm considering the Tikka 'Super Varmint'. Reason I'm partial to the Sako is, it's a 'takedown', which can be transported in a smaller case. Likely game I'll be hunting is deer or elk. I'd like something super-accurate at 200yards (220meters) or even more. The calibre I'm considering is the old standard, 30-06. I know 6.5 Creedmoor is what everyone's getting, but I think a 30-06 fills a perfect gap between 6.5 CM and .300 Win Mag, which is a bit too powerful for my purposes. I still wish to get something more powerful than I need, to future-proof it. Anyone with a Sako/Tikka rifle in 30-06 who'd recommend a different calibre? I'm not very tall (5'9"), but I'm pretty strong so I don't mind recoil or overall weight.

Do you have a physical disability? Why are you clamping the rifle in that tripod it would probably shoot much better off a bipod and rear bag. Watch the front hop every time you fire throwing shots high

s&b 9,55g dont work in my sako A2 308... 8g work perfectly. almost as good as sako range.
