please do a imdb check on them. Tadanobu is sometimes called the Johnny Depp of Japanese cinema. Mr. Terajima plays less well known roles (often the subject of ridicule in Kitano Takeshi films) but also leads in a few..have fun

In my opinion.... the best japanese movie i've ever seen....

I have to say...I hate the look of this film. The indoor scenes are too dark and indistinct. The outdoor scenes aren't much better. That said, I found this moving, intriguing, and mysterious. I was surprised how involved I was with the characters' lives. Ozu remade his films, hopefully Kore-eda can remake this one. Honestly, it succeeds in spite of its mediocre digital photography.

Just saw(rewatched) it and wow... Beautiful movie.

Read the book a while back and that was really not how I pictured the truck driver : P
