3lb test!! Only reason I pulled out the ice rod is because the simple fact that theres a bunch of tree logs and branches in that corner of the dam wall. I had no other slip bobber but the one on my ice rod so it got the job done!

They are all over geneve, batavia, st charles all the way up to montgomery. Been slow around the cville/algonquin area no smallies

@@spammate43 first of that’s me second off clearly u don’t fish what so ever 😭because that wasn’t braid 🤦‍♂️ it was 6lb trilene so try me I didn’t want to break off so I let him run a bit once I realized he was a bit bigger tightened up the drag and LANDED HIM keep fishing for bluegill bud 💀🤦‍♂️

On ultra light tackle the drag is a huge factor!! I use ultra light with 6-8lb test line, gives you a feel of any fish biting

All you need is a affordable fishing rod and some live worms man catchs you everything in the river

Yes you have to fish it before they stun the creek. Some great fishing down there never know what you’re going to catch!

If you go out to the fox right now, beginning of fall, the waters real shallow and smallies are all over the fox right now. Try using rusty crawdad colored shallow diving crankbaits!

Kurt Pennell not private. Public lake. Only thing is part of the lake is “golf course territory” so you can not pass the fence. Plenty of shore access
