Saw a programme on her some time ago on TV. The parents sell her paintings, the money going to an autism research charity. Awesome talent, lovely bonding with the cat, and she's happy. Bless!

I'm on the spectrum and all I can say is that Iris and her forever friend are amazing. Her paintings are something else, it makes me wonder if she is able to see into another realm or something?

As I watched Iris & Thula in 2020 & their beautiful & amazing life together & creating paintings that's so mesmerising it makes me forget that the Whole World is overcome by Covid 19 Pandemic.

Autistic people are actually gifted people living in a different world of another level which we ordinary people cant understand and we judge and group them as suffering from some medical conditions when in real its ourselves whose living in some lower thought level world.

Those paintings brought tears to my eyes, they're so beautiful! Her story moved me profoundly, too, but the paintings even more-so! Autistic children are not "disabled" -- just more-challenging to connect with.
...oh dang I have autism....I cope completely fine lmao...got my arts degree, got a billion friends...I was diagnosed with severe at 3 but I think I learnt how to fix it (mum claims that she was the one that taught me EVERYTHING) but that's a lie because i taught me self the stuff i need to know...and i am sick of people thinking im helpless.... unfortunately i am very curious and confused often..(and though that's probably just me and not autism..everyone thinks it is autism which is annoying because what if its just my normal personality) yeah..you can tell i don't like labels lol

Watching this has given me hope. My nephew will be 4 soon,he is autistic, he doesn't communicate well with anyone and doctors are afraid he never will. Such a strong, beautiful, amazing little girl.
