I don't want to spoil this movie, but it's definitely on my recommendations list. But apparently an explanation is needed.... SPOILER...... At the VERY least, the entire movie is a dream from a man who is processing his mother's death. You offhandedly mentioned that it might be all in his head. That is literally the point that this is in his head.... Now I have a different interpretation. (And I think more accurate interpretation). This is a mash-up of a traumatized man processing the death of his mother. His mind is racing with emotions and memories and it needs to conclude to letting go. He didn't experience the film that we watched. It wasn't a dream that he had. We watched a film that you could piece together if you were in the mind of someone who was trying not to have a mental breakdown. It's a complete mess. We as viewers got to experience what he was feeling through a story, he actually experienced it without the privilege of a story. I loved the movie. I absolutely recommended it immediately. But boy did I need a pallet cleanser. It's not a fun movie. Even when you have a somewhat happy ending where he lets go of all the trauma.... I find myself still carrying it.

I thought Lyonne was well cast, but there were a couple of times where her delivery was really flat and I have to chalk it up to not being a professional voice actor.

it's an odd film

POSSIBLE SLIGHT SPOILERS but.. . . . . . the one thing that bothered me is that this movie could essentially be explained away by the kid having a concussion.

I can't imagine seeing a Heron plushie in stores.

It's a shame that this film will get overlooked because there's no action heroes, flying cars, robots fighting each other etc. It's a thinking movie and today with most people's short attention spans, they don't like to think. I like all kinds of movies and that includes thinking movies with lots of meaning. I haven't seen this movie yet but I'm excited to see it. It's not playing in my town therefore I have to drive 100 miles to go see it, 200 miles round trip. But that's okay because I do it quite a bit, I love going to the movies and I love watching Indie Movies, so, I have to drive a hundred miles one way to see them. When I do go, I make a day of it. I plan out my day with the movie being the focal point. It's all an event for me. Drive the hundred miles, go to some Antique Malls, Thrift Stores, get a Smash Burger, then head to the movies, get my popcorn and soda, kick back and enjoy the next two hours. After the movie I drive home the hundred miles thinking about the movie I just watched. Get home between 9pm and 10pm, feed my fur faces, wash-up, brush my teeth, then go to bed, still thinking about the movie. I'm a single 68-year-old man with 10 thousand movies in my personal collection. Yeah, I love movies, but I also play video games and I have a 2020 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pinball Machine in my living room. I'm just a kid at heart enjoying my twilight years. I plan on driving the two-hundred-mile round trip tomorrow. Can't wait to see "Daddio."

I think if your response to criticism is that the people criticizing you have to racist and sexist then what is the point of nuance? You can try to be nuanced and say there is something good but they will condemn you anyway.

I'm reserving all judgment until the show finishes. I loved Russian doll it was surprisingly funny, well written and paced well. All the hate sounds like people whining over small potatoes and honestly I can see past hollow or hamfisted progressive storytelling if the overall story is good and the acting is good. I've had problems with star wars projects but it's mostly been clunky or odd writing choices.

The Women's Football Association Banned him for Life from female football and Banned the girls for up to two years. The Women's Football Association was set up in 1969 to organize and Advance Female Football, yet they DiD The Opposite ... Shame On Them!.

I'm watching all the Rachel Sennott movies for the foreseaable future.

The trailer definitely felt a bit like Tig's comedy. I'll give this a watch in a couple weeks and see if I like it or not.

It is clearly meant for nostalgia and not for children and it says it all in the title "X-men 97" because you see no current child cares about 1997 only their parents do. Why do people ask such common sense questions?

I liked a lot of the acting and the location shooting but the ending didn't feel earned. The guys were right there needed to be another shoe to drop cause it kept feeling like it was building to something but it never came and the ending we got felt like a cathartic cap off to a moment that didn't happen. Also I would've liked more backstory for the teo girls cause garner's nervousness toward everything and hedwigs go with the flow and ignorance of any red flags was never explained or given context in the film.

I'm gonna try and see this movie this weekend, hopefully I get to see it. EDIT: I saw it on Sunday and it was good. I'm not from Chicago but I do get what art means about this not feeling completely lived in. The kids shouting definitely would have gotten a response from the people around them.

It still kills me that Thad from Blue mountain state is Jack Reacher and in a wholesome Christian movie. The clips alone from that show feels like its from a pocket dimension. That show was crazy even for the time it came out. If they bring that back its gonna be so sanitized it won't be worth it.

I love a low stakes crime flick that feels big

Anyone who thinks that the Finestkind isn’t good then you really have no idea what a good movie. This movie is one of the best movies I have seen in my 49 years of being alive, and I have seen alot of movies.

I think the villain was mishandled. He's pretty much in the first episode and the last episode but it feels like he was just used as a vehicle for Mark's characterization than his own genuine character. In the first season we're with Omni man almost every episode. And it's also like a murder mystery that keeps you on your toes. That tension was also lacking in the second season. Not in individual moments or fights but the season as a whole.

This is absolutely nothing like Nathan Fielder & John Wilson. The director never passes judgement at all and allows the audience to form their own opinions. How you felt about the people involved is mostly coming from you and not the film itself. Also, there's interviews where the director discusses the formal aspects and you'd be surprised at how truly organic much of it is.

I really liked this short, it's a good holdover until the movie comes out. The messaging was subtle and not overbearing, hopefully more prohects trying to promote mental health and other health messaging take a note from this short.

This movie is still movie is still on my watchlist. I hope I get to watch it before it leaves Netflix. Next goal wins waz such a let down in the theater and wasted the talent of its cast. Hopefully this movie is way better.
