Spice girls did grind hard back in the day
Haha! If only we could bring the Spice Girls in for a grind-off.
Love ya work 🤯 infinite gratitude all the way …..inspirational 🙌🏻
Thanks Mel!
Infinite Gratitude from me 🙌🏻
I visited your channel and saw that you have uploaded 215 videos. I think you are working hard to make each video but you are not succeeding. The reason why you are not successful in UA-cam is because you are making many mistakes. Your video optimization is incorrect. You can talk to me if you want. Hope you get all the solutions to succeed in UA-cam
Come to New Jersey brother you can stay on my couch
Haha! We'll let the boys know :D
I probably aggravate these guys atleast once a week 😅 with my day to day polished concrete operations. And every time they have come back with a solution to get me back in the game. Their knowledge and expertise is unmatched.
Cheers Byron. We'll always be around to help!
Como faço para compra uma dessas
Hey guys you've talked about exposing aggregate in one pass could you explain that process Steve Laplaunt SL Restoration Michigan
Great tech talk, lots to unpack. Suggestion for the next topic. Rough surfaces!! How rough is too rough, stamped conc, stencil conc, tile glue both cement based and silicone based. Example deep bluestone stamped concrete should you even attempt, is there a way to lessen the impact on the machines with those scenarios. Context as prep for a seal, seemless or epoxy coating. And go!
Josh does better videos
Great topic. Next week suggestions. Wet grinding!! What's everyone's experience with it. Full exposure, surface polish. Pros and cons for each. A more particular question has anyone over densified after metals and then basically wet grinded all the way up to target grit and then done one dry polish to finish. Kind of American inspired question. Cheers.
Next tech talk. Stages to leave a job at after first cut to when you come back post build/intra build to finish stages. Where and why would you stop the first process at? Both for full exposure, hit miss and surface polish. Also with floor covering or protection tips to add.
Satisfying :O
Here's a topic for a video. What's everyone's preference on a new slab in terms of the grind stage after laying slab before building to coming back to carry out the rest of the grind. Also different finishes like full exposure and surface polish? And go!
I would like to see Eno carry the 120-volt Modified Pulse Bac vacuum here in the U.S.
Dear Sir, Happy New Year. I hope you are well. I have seen the videos of your channel. Your video is very good But your video optimization is very poor. 1. Sir, your videos do not have SEO Score (0/100). 2. No Title - Description - Tag SEO friendly 3. No Share Social Media Platform and many problems on your UA-cam Channel Immediately need SEO for your UA-cam channel. I am waiting for your response. Best Regards, SEO Specialist MA Kader.
Ok put one down for me
Each polishing job takes special consideration. I get the idea of knocking it back down but for the most part I think it’s unnecessary. There is plenty of time in between steps to apply enough densifier on most slabs to achieve a durable, long lasting satin finish with good stain resistance without back stepping.
All I can say about Policrete is, they haven't paid up their contractors here in Syd., bloke won't answer and avoids returning calls.
No easy answer? Sleepless night ahead!
I feel like there is not as much to reflect on with this topic 😂
If you watch this a second time around it's really good info ...dan lost me into giggles the first time and forgot it all ...😅
come out with a color enhancing version please!
you guys should come out with a color enhancing version!
whats the purpose of spraying down densifier after grout coat and then the "lick coat"? Why not remove the grout coat fully with the metals then progress up to 100/200 grit then densify like normal? Im not really understanding the purpose?
Thanks for your comment! Please email contact@totallyworks.com.au with your contact details and location, we'd love to have a chat and see if we can help you out!
I have a grinder that doesnt have the option of running 6 tools per plate, only three. The concrete here on commercial projects is extremely hard with a black/blue burnished finish from power trowels. Most diamonds I run have a hard time cutting. What would you recommend for tooling to remove the hard cap? The grinder I have is a 25" with a 15hp motor and has 620lb head pressure fully weighted
You could run soft tooling and add a cutting agent. Worx+ Cut Sikk from Eno Supply in NC is awesome. If you can't get that then maybe soluble agent like C-Complex or cutting agents from the stone industries?
@@bryondaniow7753 I have generally broadcast silica sand with a light mist of water and that most often keeps the tools open and cutting in hard floors. I’ve never tried any products from worx except for the grouting liquid years back before Husqvarna bought out King Concepts. I’m guessing it’s the same stuff, just liquid polymer. I’d like to try the cut sik and see if it works better than damp sand
wouldnt have dropping down to a half set of double segs worked in the bond he was using and doubling the pressure? Why add a half set of singles to a half set of doubles?
This is a huge topic and honestly one of the most important! This would create an amazing series with on site examples etc
Firstly love listening to these tech talks and love when mike has his teeth out. I used to end up putting the spoon drain effect in hallways. As i run a htc 650 hdx . If im going down a hallway and it’s 1200-1500 I used to run down each wall close than fan that ridge out but would overgrind the middle often when I checked it with a straightedge. Now I fan both sides about 150mm and have had really good success this way. I also would swap the ends the ends I go down and up the hallway. I’d always check this with a straight and swap the sides that I pass down. I always complete first cut usually in two passes not try and do it in one which I find give me a flatter finish. I get really good results doing this however it doesn’t mean it works for everyone, enjoy the weekend. Regards Paul
Skirt off is good practice... i agree with you Josh!
Can filters be cleaned safely in water, or do i just beat them clean by hand?
The Pre-Filter can be vacuumed to give it a bit of extra life. However, the HEPA filter would need to be replaced as it is far too delicate to be cleaned with either.
Well done guys ,really enjoy listening to these talks especially Joss how he breaks down every issue and offers a solution
Yeah when you've got that hard concrete, you really need to make sure your tool is adjusted for optimal performance. You don't want it adjusted soft, for those weak sands. Moisture is good, you gotta just go in there with those shielas, put some extra pressure on your tool, get the job done, get to where you need to be. Its good to have options, don't want to wear down your tool. Doubles are good too, twins are the best. Get your tool dialed in perfectly.
Never had a problem getting scratches out with the double 50s ?a wet run if anything then a run after that 👌🏼.maybe he was looking at the 50 scratches because they leave a fair scratch profile when cutting properly ?
Another very interesting tech talk gents. I have my hand up for the densi on the glass trick. Sometimes you have to learn a lesson the hard way to fully appreciate it. 😂
Thanks for tuning in. We makes these TechTalks so hopefully no one else has to learn the hard way! :)
Maybe you should just a machine that doesn’t have belts ! Problem solved 🤷♂️ gear driven all the way 😉
Wishing you all the best for the future mate and thank you for teaching Corey some very important German 😉🤪love and light ❤
Very informative fellas - I’m never drinking out of glass again 🤪😉
Daniel, you will be missed. Good luck in the future mate.
So much talk about impregnating……
Hey guys, great event. On the 680 and 690 comparisons, how was the tooling wear between the big block and standard in this test?
Good stuff guys .I’ve reacently had a loan of a schwanborne while I rebuilt my 680 and after getting use to it found it to be a great machine.
You guys forgot to them about the important changes. Such as the upgraded satellite drum, that doesn't need a screwdriver wedged into a threaded hole to align the belt and then sealed up with copious amounts of silicone. Or, the motocycle chain welded to a ring that's as circular as a 50 cent piece. Then said chain is expected to run dry, as opposed to the new version of a lubricated free running chain on sprokets. What about the old planetary seal, consisting of a piece of rubber flat duct taped to side the side of the drum? Why would somebody spend 20k on all the upgrades for a Chinese made machine with 20 year old tech, that you guys also recommend servicing at 3 month intervals? Sorry, but l would rather buy a European made machine with current tech and long service intervals, that can do the same job at lower speeds.
Thats a very nice buffing pads it may lower the cost for using resin pads 👍
Shout out to Policrete! Great bunch of blokes 💪🏽💪🏽🍻
Rock up group 🤙🏽
Great talk 👍
Great information Worx+. It's concerning how it appears the industry hasn't been consulted, but then it's not the first time.
Great info 👍🏼
Keep it juicy Mike!! 💪 The rest of you, stay classy! 😉
