@@lordofthe6string thanks for this, I’ve noticed they don’t stay as wet as oils when I’ve had a bit of a play with them but maybe I’m using them too thinly with the water. It’s been fun to use, would you recommended getting some brush soap? As I’ve always just washed my brushes thoroughly

@@MeandmyfireflyEZCreations Thank you for your comment! Honestly, I’m surprised by the level of detail I can achieve, as I consider myself quite clumsy. I use miniature painting brushes, and it gets easier with practice. I've also used my other hand to help balance while doing very fine detailing. Practice truly makes a difference. I'm always open to hear different view point of my work and also other direction, methods and thoughts I could be thinking about or doing. I honestly love what you've said and I think it links extremely well with what I'm interested in. I feel at the moment I am “copying” more traditional imagery of the pre raphaite era but would love to follow more intuitively as I have previously done. I did keep a journal at one point but its something I'd like to come back to, I write quite a lot in my sketchbooks I use them as more of a visual diary. But I adore the sounds of using botanical inks as glazes?! Ivoobe the contrast of the white and black images but sometimes… I'm not sure how best to describe it but there is something really rich and beautiful about using natural earthly colours in clay as well as the deep history it can bring. I have found clay near where I live which I would like to develop further at some point. But I agree, I haven't really been thinking too much about the inner dialogue in terms of how I make things and where I source, create or collect my materials, so thank you for bringing this up as something I forget to think about and be curious about those things. I'm not very good at researching but I do love it and it can be an important part of creativity and it would be interesting to see how my work develops… archival glazes sound very interesting too… I'm so pleased to hear you still create and make art. But I want to thank you so much for taking the time to write this, I feel you've really understood my art and interests. ​@almudena_rocca, honestly, it was from my heart to yours. You are so talented. One of my ex lecturers gave me advice about how we often see what we want to see in our own work, whether it be art or creative writing. Because it's so close to us, we don't look at it with a critical or curious mind / eye. It's always helpful to step back and speak with other creatives. They see things that we don't. Or haven't at that point. It's such a pleasure to see your creations and hear your thoughts and your podcast that you have with your mum is super cool and the dynamic of sisterhood in the field of art & design vs the mother - daughter relationship is very intriguing. Thanks for your heart warming comment. Some days feel heavier than others, but I do my best. A good reminder for me is "I am doing what I can with what I have, and I can't do more." We often put so much pressure on ourselves for various reasons. I really appreciate your comment, and I hope you can give yourself some grace. Making a living from your art is tough because it tugs at your heartstrings, and having to earn money from it creates a whole different situation. I hope you can be kind to yourself. Thanks, I like to think that I am on the right path, but I feel like I have lost my direction. Thank you. :)

Thank you! I agree actually, it’s lovely to see how peoples work develop over time that’s a nice way of looking at it thank you :) That’s such a good point. I’m sure I could find pieces I’ve done years ago that I love. I think because I’ve been creating art for quite a specific subject and now I feel like I’ve grown from it.
