Getting chosen by Oprah for an acting gig
Steve Balmer is a great host. Amazing his career after Microsoft.
Trelane was a great character.
This guy is the one part of Star Trek The Next Generation that make my stomach turn. What a ham. What a completely arrogant non-person. Yikes.
He played the character so well, class act.
She is such a great role model for young women. From football cheerleader to renowned primatologist.
He was great in My Little Pony.
My ALL-TIME FAVORITE non-regular cast member. Long life and health/happiness.
i remember him on a soap opera, so i could never take Q seriously
Rosa Park's husband is a white men, and he had a car 😭🤦🏽♂️💀. This whole thing happened when black society was rising, they making music and doing businesses and stuff... Whoopsie, gotta keep that victim narrative going, make em inferior 🤣
I really hate this interviewer.
Good stuff. I remember as a kid watching (I think it was Days of Our Lives) with my mom and he made a huge impression on me. I was really excited to see him in Star Trek.
John de Lancie will forever be Eugene Bradford stuck back in pre-historic times because of his time machine, to me.
He had kookie character on Days Of Our Lives when Bo and Hope began.
I LOVED it when "Q" became human for awhile! At least he knew what it was like. 😊
I love this amazing performing, dear james, kenny and all of You are legends 💖💖💖 This is the best music forever and the best professional performing Thank you so much for this great job
If you are hoping for Trekkie talk dont watch, its all actor BS.
Truthfully, I don’t know if I can watch Star Trek anymore with Larry Ellison owning it…
AND 💔 BAD! ✈️💥 😢
Does anyone know if he is the same guy who did QAnon?
Every time Q showed up, shenanigans ensued and it was the twinkle in John de Lancie’s eye that made it fun. ❤
A Q and Travelers (Wesley Crusher) battle would be awesome to see.
He was the best antagonist. So enjoyable.
The best character on TNG.
This actor sounds just as annoying as the real Q in the series. It figures.
I never understood you Why does Q hates Picard so much.
He was good in BB, but being Q, he nailed it. Even in the Picard series, he just nails it in that role.
If I can choose the actor I want to meet from Star Trek, it's John De Lancie. I love all of them, Brent, Sir Patrick, Jonathan... but still, this guy is magic for me
It's amazing for actors and actresses to freely admit that they've never seen the end result of a piece of their work before. It pretty much sums up what they thought of their own work at the time. It should also be a reminder for us to not put these people on too high a pedestal because even they believe there are more important things than what they're doing or what they think. Stay real Mr de Lancie.
There was a tomato slice on the window of the food court at the University of Guelph for the fournyears I was there. It was about 25 ft up in the middle.
Great musician! This was an excellent glimpse into the mind of a brilliant songwriter.
Bullshit..Q acted just like Trelaine 1 st episode.
Phineas Fogg and John DeLancie both met their deadlines because of the international dateline
trelane n q no where close. to each other
I always thought the "Q" character was ridiculous. But John de Lancie was so great at it.
William Campbell, Squire Trelain, The Squire of Gothos
He played Q admirably. John de Lance is terrific.
Discord from my little pony. was really his best performance. for real look up clips of his work on My little pony Friendship is magic. his delivery and cadence is perfect
why wasnt Q a regular in the show? i would haver loved to see him every episode!
All this time, I’d never watched that many interviews with the cast for fear it would make the characters they portray less immersive. Now, I’m drawn not only to the actor for their character but also for the experiences, stresses and interests common to us all.
Q died a hero.. didnt see that one coming
This is the reason mixed people stopped putting their lives in conflict to support and fight "Black" battles. These are no longer our battles and probably never were. But there are some blacks who want to discredit our efforts. Instead of accepting the fact that in those days it was what it was. We have our own battles and Blacks don't lift a finger to help us. But they expect everyone to stand by them in their times of need. Only so they can turn around and show ingratitude. Rosa Parks was an active Civil Rights soldier as was her family. It is not necessary to smear her legacy in order to acknowledge someone else's contribution. There is such a tone of ingratitude and arrogance in your voice and demeanor as you attempt to trample over Rosa Parks' legacy. Why spit on her grave when she is dead. It would appear that you are trying to undermine and rewrite history to your own liking. God chose Rosa Parks! The young girl you are referring to was also pregnant out of wedlock. To bring national attention to her may not have been in her best interest or that of the Civil Rights movement at that time. This battle required a seasoned soldier with strong character and that was Rosa Parks. You need to stop this ungrateful arrogance and show her some RESPECT. Because all you are doing is displaying your own prejudice. This kind of ungrateful attitude only dries up any empathy people might have felt. It sure dries up mine. You can expect challenges and inequality as long as you refuse to clean up your own backyard filled with the choking vines of prejudices and ingratitude. You never see Blacks sticking their necks out for the welfare of other races. No it's all about them all the time. Perhaps when you venture to concern yourselves with the welfare of others and appreciate the value of the contributions of others toward your welfare, you just might break the strongholds that have held you back. Instead of using your voices to discredit others who stood in the gap of history to pave the way to a better world for you. Believe it or not Missy, ingratitude is a sin.
So, technically Q got the job because John de Lancie traveled back in time from Sunday to Saturday 🖖
I think Discord is Q personified
John was good in everything.
John de Lancie is a fascinating figure. His posture and mannerisms, though full of panache, are charming and even humble. Besides being a fantastic actor, John radiates humanity and lightness in his interviews. It is truly enjoyable to watch and listen to the person who brought Q to life. Certainly, the success of the character is largely due to this wonderful actor. Thank you for the interview, to both of you! :D 🖖 👍
Worst character EVER on Star Trek Next Gen. His character was completely stupid. After the first episode with him, I skipped every other episode that included Q. He was AWFUL. So so bad.
5:55 When Q asks to put the camera down, you do...
Can't stand Q. That is how good of an actor he is.
Everyday at 1pm he was on Days of Our Lives and I loved his character.
Q was one of Jean Luc's biggest antagonists and certainly the most entertaining one.
