Zakynthos - Greece
Blue water, sunshine, good food and wonderful people. This and more, much more is Greece 🇬🇷
The wife and I took off to Zakynthos and it did not disappoint!
We drove 850km on this small island in the Mediterranean. Getting up super early, get a coffee on the road and drive through the mountains or along the coast to all corners. We’d have lunch in one of the thousands of restaurants that await you. Tzatziki and gyros being a favorite paired with a Mythos or draught Eza. Afternoons were for sunbathing, snorkeling (with turtles at Dafni!) and Chillato ice cream.
As we are old we opted out of the abundant nightlife and just enjoyed a quiet sunset drink on our terrace at our Azzure Vista apartment.
A week on this island is enough to enjoy all it has to offer but 10 days makes you fall in love so you never want to leave. Or at least plan to return one day.

The Arkersluis is a sluice with pointed doors and connects the outer harbour and the Arkervaart in the district of Nijkerk. The sluice is 95 m long, 9 m wide. The 'Putter stoomgemaal' (steam powered pumping station in a place called Putten) was build in 1885 and pumped the water in to the formerly Zuiderzee when the water was getting too high. Since I started with photography the sluice got my attention several times. Don’t know why exactly, but it does.. Now, when I started filming it still does.. I like filming (and taking photos) in the golden hour because of the nice colors and contrast.. So yes, the same in this video! Deze video is gemaakt op Mallorca met de Mavic 2 pro, tussen 22-27 mei 2022. Helaas mag op best veel plekken niet vliegen, dus meer beeld is er niet. In de eerste instantie wilden we gaan duiken in Egypte, maar door een blessure aan mijn schouder ging gaat ff niet.
