I saw the Neopets Tarot at Barnes and Noble the other day but passed on it because I haven’t seen it around! I should’ve just got it, but I had books 😅 You should absolutely get it and give us a walkthrough! If you want lol I also can’t do “deep dives”. I work with decks, and eventually get to know them, but it’s like every time I set out to do the whole special journal, structured “deep dive”, something in my brain just says no. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😂

Just know that I will never tire of hearing about the Unicorns Journey Tarot. I’m so obsessed with mine. The self worth messages have been soooo helpful.

I've been feeling like doing some deep diving with my decks and dedicating a journal to the ones I'm working on. I finally settled on one idea I'm going to do where I'll draw a random card and then draw two other cards to represent its "ally" and "enemy" (words pending). Then I'll think a bit about how those cards fit into those roles in relation to the original card. But I also just love to get my decks out and sit with them sometimes, drawing a few cards and seeing what I notice in that moment. It's a great way to deepen my understanding of them. If you like Neopets and also like dragons, you might like Flight Rising! It's a dragon collecting game with seemingly endless possibilities of dragons to collect. It has some fun daily activities and mini games, similar to what I remember playing on Neopets back in the day.

I love this approach so much! I am so exhausted after work that I fall into the doom scrolling trap. I think this is really going to help prevent me from doing that, thank you!

I held onto my busted, old laptop for years - ostensibly denying I needed a new one - until I tried to log into Neopets and realized my laptop couldn't even handle that anymore. 😂 Neopets Tarot is VERY nearly a top 10 tarot deck for me... It's a total top 10 runner-up. The mass market is the same deck I think with just cheaper card stock and less being. 😊

I don’t think the she wolf and goddess of love have a similar energy - I don’t have either but the only one I might even consider keeping is the she wolf - it has an aesthetic coherence to it. I heard more enthusiasm in your voice for that deck also, good luck!

Listening to how you perceive the sence of self, it reminds me of a particular model in Psychotherapy called Internal Family Systems (IFS) after Richard Schwartz. It introduces the idea that multiplicity of mind is normal and helpful, and as such, our personality consists of various ‘subpersonalities’ as part of our ego or psyche. Maybe diving more into this will give you a more practical approach to understanding the self. There are books and such. Meaning that ppl with a strong sense of self are well aware of their likes, dislike, benefial characteristics and less benefial characters. Apart from that they are well aware of their values and I mean from psychological perspective not from moral perspective (here is a good list of values loving.health/en/act-list-of-values/). For example Fairness is very important to me but not Forgiveness (both are values) or Authenticity is much more important to me than Friendliness and so on. Knowing my values is giving me a stronger sense of self 😊

I thought the She Wolf Tarot and the Goddess of Love Tarot paired together beautifully! Same with most of these combos, honestly. Have you ever tried using tarot and tarot, or oracle and oracle? It might be fun to try.

I've never seen ancient feminine wisdom before. It's on my wishlist now. I let go of Guidance of the Goddess because I found the images did not contrast enough with the background. It might pair nicely with Pagan Otherworlds. I kinda feel like Goddess of Love is overhyped. I love Intuitive Night Goddess. Because they are not any specific goddess I feel it is saying that ALL women are goddesses.

I'm dying over the fact that the fruits card has eggplant 🍆 and peaches 🍑 😂😂😂 I really want this deck now. I'm not a round deck person, but it's soooo good.

Maybe a sense of self happens when you dont analyze or think about it. Its not a thought. Its a stillness and okayness. Always in flux because self can only exist in relationship to an other. And 'the other' changes so much. I don't have a ass diagnoses but am a bit weird and do not fit in. But I always had a sense of self. But its more in the absence of thoughts. In the here and now. Maybe for you you can feel it when you tend your roses in the garden?

I was also diagnosed later in life with ADHD, so I understand exactly what you mean in regards to finding yourself. I never equated it to grief, though I can absolutely look back and see the stages of grief in my own journey. “Sense of self” (in my opinion, I’m just thinking it out) seems like it would be how you define yourself, but I also think that in some ways our sense of self is always going to change. My sense of self when I was 10 was different from my sense of self at 20 or at 30. That said, I believe that my most true self is unchanging. This topic is great for tarot, because it’s always just going deeper into the subconscious. I love these videos - they’re very authentic and always get me thinking. Thank you so much for sharing what I’m sure is a very vulnerable moment.

I pulled out my deck of Into the Lonely Woods and the card that jumped out was 9. There are others like you. How fitting as I watch you and relate to so much of what you are saying. I am also late diagnosed and get what you are saying.

This was powerful and relevant for me today, thank you Christa! I resonate so hard on reconciling the variety of masks I have worn, and whether they are an authentic part of me versus something I made up to cope/survive. Where I’ve landed so far on the journey is that these facets are like friends who helped me navigate situations or relationships I didn’t have the tools to get through without a mask at the time. Some of them are absolutely still part of me for better or worse, some are now part of my past. It’s such a trip to think about and I love that you’ve explored it here. I am moved by your sharing! Christa, thank you again for another helpful and resonant video. At age 53 (a year ago), I was diagnosed with autism and ADHD. Two years ago, I didn't even know what autism or ADHD was -- but what I did know is that I didn't know who I was, and I didn't understand why. My diagnosis was such a huge relief that answered so much of the confusion I've felt my whole life, and I'm looking forward to exploring and developing my own sense of self for the rest of my life. A big YES to those survival tactics -- masking and multiple ways of being. I have many similar feelings as you described here. And you are not overthinking this -- it's perfectly fine to take time to process and think deeply about whatever you choose. Thank you for helping to confirm that I am not alone!! 💛❤💛

ADHD and being on the spectrum are almost always comorbid and have similar tells. It's rough, even with early diagnosis like myself.

Hi Christa. I watch all of your videos, but I rarely comment. I just want to tell you how much I get from your videos. My son was diagnosed with what used to be called Asperger's syndrome. Now it's just called being on the autism spectrum. I've never been diagnosed with anything. I think that's because of the time I grew up in. I'm 62. I think I'm somewhere on the autism spectrum, totally self diagnosing here. Anyway, I don't have a strong sense of self, but I'm working on it. I appreciate hearing you talk through your process. It helps me find my own way. Thank you.
