very nice! i did something kinda like this too in OpenGL. text is definitely pretty tricky in OpenGL, but I decided on a pretty simple text engine (and also retro) approach on rendering text by using monospace character bitmaps from a texture map. in my game i was going for a more "retro" look which this definitely added to. i also used alot of 2d textures which did also simplify my code lol. it also gave everything a more pixelated look, which is definitely what i was going for. if you're wondering what resources i used getting started, i used learnopengl. although this is definitely a higher version of OpenGL, and is definitely more math heavy (like constructing matrices and writing and compiling your own shaders). however, the advantage this gives is MUCH greater computational power and efficiency. when I switched my game graphics engine over to this, it was the difference between my game running at less than 30 fps and it running at hundreds of fps.

Girl the stressssss ughh i understand you totally. I actually found out recently that it's a sign of maturity to have 8 am classes (I'm actually one of the privileged minority whos home is like 10-15 mins away from the campus so this is extremely biased) but what I'm saying is I've always been 8 am's classes biggest hater l9ke I'M NOTTT HAVING 1ST PERIOD YOU CAN NEVERRR CONVINCE ME til this time where I'm having like one to two classes a day therefore i found finishing your calss earlier and coming back home literally 2 hours before Dhuhr is such a bliss especially cause i have this phenomenon where this girl CAN'T for the life of her relax if she knows she has to do something or be somewhere in the next hours like i go to college and that's it for the day I'm resting the rest of the day so even though i hate waking up so early but it actually relieved so much anxiety I've been having for years now. P.s. if there's something I've got out of college on general in especially from scheduling week is كله خيرة الحمدلله like the amount of timesss I've been flying crawling begging for a class that i didn't get into or the opposite and then that turning out to be literally the best for me and i wouldn't have it any other way it just a realization that made my life unbelievably easier so it's just always nice to be reminded thay everything is going to workout well for you by the end it's just a fact and sometimes we forget and it cause us a lot of struggle that we could've saved us the hustle if we just believed in allah more. I'm glad things are going well for you this semester i wish you the best since exams are coming up , you got this❤
