Fly Fishing Popper Dropper Technique For Bass
The popper dropper technique is one of many ways you can target bass on the fly. You can also substitute the dropper fly for a wooly bugger, hatchling craw or even a stone fly. This video is for anyone just getting started and is looking for simple ways to catch bass on the fly, or people who are trout bums trying to get into bass fishing. Enjoy!

Redeye Bass and Gar Fly Fishing Alabama: Cell Phone Chronicles ep. 1

I was able to get away for half of the day. I took a trip down to a beautiful stretch of river in Alabama. I ended up stretching the main body of water initially and then hiking up a tributary. At the end of the day I decided to make one more stop on the main body of water and that is where I landed the biggest fish of the day. Such a fun day.

Hi, thanks for the video. Can you give your setup info, rod weight, line, and leader. Also, what size foam was the base of your one bug. Ty!

Glad you liked it! Echo base 5wt, Cortland streamer series 100% floating line, Cortland 8 lb nylon 7.5ft leader, and the Sam’s one big was tied with a 1/4 inch foam cylinder.

Dude. You told me the story about scaling that rock, but now that I’ve been there a couple times, and seen your vid from the top, I’m calling you crazy. Also, why was that Bama bass above the falls? That’s crazier than you are!

Thank you! They are a pair of OR hiking pants and I am not sure if they make these anymore. This pair is at least 8 years old. The shoes are Astral water shoes.

What you really needed with the whiskey and coffee was a good cigar. Beautiful river and fish. By the way, I am down in Dothan.

You said it!! I typically have a cigar, but I had smoked my last one the week before. Not to far from me at all. I’m in Tuscaloosa.

What part Alabama are ya in North or South? I fish Locus Fork as often as I can find to get on it. It's kinda difficult to legally get on rivers in Alabama, land owners don't want to cooperate at all with fishermen or small boaters. I hope the state will someday see clear to make a few access points on the rivers in Alabama.
