Minivan Camper Build, Start to Finish (2013 Toyota Sienna)
Awesome build!! 😁
Hi Teller, thanks for sharing this sweet build! It's freaking dope and I'm seriously thinking about building this build for my own Element as well. I wanted to ask, what are your thoughts on this build and how would you iterate/improve on it after using it? Some issues I foresee with the current design: - It's hard to access storage underneath the bed platform when the doors are closed - The driving position of the bed platform that goes on the seats seems to take a lot of space Some initial thoughts for how I'd like to change the design: - Splitting the bed cushion into multiple pieces to allow you to move/remove individual cushions - Add cutouts on the bed platform to allow underneath storage access from above the bed (splitting the bed cushion is a prerequisite for this so we can remove a cushion and access the cutout) - Making the bed platform piece that goes on the seats as narrow as the rest of the bed platform so that it can rest on the other bed platforms while driving rather than resting against the seats If you have time to chat sometime, would love to do a call!
Where do you get your genuine leather sheets from?
Love your humors. The build turned out to be a very clean and nice one.
Well done !
Thank you!
That's a fabulous build!
Beautiful
Coming back to this a year later still one of the better build outs utilizing that space by the sliding door. Thinking about removing my front passenger seat as well for even more space.
Yeah, that’s a great way to maximize the space!
You are beautiful~are you single???
Dude you have great content and genius wood and leather skills. I hope you start making videos again.
I used a jig saw for the first time 2 days ago, it wasn’t pretty.
How much do you charge?
I also have a 2013 Sienna. I am assuming this one is All-Wheel Drive which comes with run-flat tires. Mine is front-wheel drive and the spare tire release is behind the front passenger seat so this floor system would not work for me but I do like it. You can eliminate the snow from cutting styrofoam by using a heated cutting tool. It seals the foam.
I wonder how much weight this added? Is the weight of the 3 seats removed equals or exceeded the wood work?
Nice work but why waste all that space when u can just put an inflatable bed
I really liked the square and sharpe method. Thanks for sharing.
I wish you would do my 2005 Toyota Sienna van for me!😊
Great job
its neat thanks for sharing it
Great job!!!
can you help me too pls
this was great. thanks. what is the going rate for all this work?
Your dog is amazing
Nice
Beautiful work. Love the stitching and the leather color too
Bread knives and reciprocating electric turkey carving knives work well for cutting foam. Razor blades can work but takes forever in my experience anyway.
Nice and stylish conversion .
Very nice
Great design. Well done!
Wonderful job, but where is the bathroom & shower?
Me and three of my adult children have been homeless for three yrs. Our first yr we were living in a Mazda6. We ended up in a POS Dodge Caravan that only lasted a few months, before finally being forced out of it. A friend of a FB "friend" helped us get into the 2013 Toyota Sienna we are in now. We have been trying to find someone who could help us make this vehicle more livable. Would you help us or know someone who could help us do that? Thanks. 👍
holy nut! awesome!
Awesome build 👍🏽👍🏽💯 and thank you for sharing!
Beautiful where are you, so I can get an Estimate for my mini van
Great how to build video
You did a great job with just building it without plans. You have some talent in carpentry. I think the van owner’s going to be very comfortable living in it or just a weekend trip.
Omg! Really great do you think you ur friend is interested in selling van with the build? I’m interested!
❤
Nice build
@TellerWhat Can you build me one? I have a minivan same in the video. Please let me know.
Good job🎉
What is the thickness of the plywood?
Did I miss when you said what the dimensions are like across from window to window in the middle with the bed?
nice
Great job! Thanks for the tips, demonstration, and sharing your awesome wit!!! Best wishes.
I think the purple board may work better. I had two large Magnavox speaker stero send to me on eBay and they made boxes out of that purple board its really tough. I do like your build overall. Thanks for some good ideas. 73
looks amazing
Cool! Thanks!!!
Not a long video , great stuff.love it. Never too long if one is learning.
