No problem
Yall are trippin. The dam at otter creek is a great song
It is actually quite good.
😅 🤦♂Maybe you should learn the definition of the term "career" before making fools of yourselfs. Just because you personally do not like what Axl career have produced after Kurts death does not mean his career is over " the world do not revolve around you i am afraid". Or could it possibly be that your statement and title for for this episode is nothing but shameless clickbait trying to capitalize on a old feaud and a tragic death??? And it still did not give you guys the big numbers of viewers 🤑🤣
So interesting to hear these young people speak of events like they were there or knew some info that none of us knew about. Fcuk off Gen Z talk about the crap you people make these days, don't comment like you know when you were not around . I heard that he said that she said= facts= Gen z
We chose not to attend that show. They offered us a slot on side stage 2zx11b, but we foresaw what a sh@t show it was gonna be and we had bigger fish to fry. No really, we were already booked at Big Bob's Backyard Fish Fry. It was a sh@t show too with overflowing and overturned porta-potties. Rock on and looking forward to more Sam Bass music.
🤯💩
Not related to AftP but you should look up the story behind "What's the frequency Kenneth," Great episode on REM.
Thanks man!
Axl was a fan of Nirvana. I believe it all started because Axl asked Kurt to perform at his birthday and Kurt said No. After Axl kept on asking Kurt for Nirvana to go on tour with them and he kept saying no. 1 of the shows Axl stopped mid concert and left the stage because he had a sore throat. There was like $400,000 in damages from pissed off fans. It was actually a smart move not going on tour with them when he asked. Don't get me wrong Both bands are great but Kurt was a whole other level of talent.
Right on.
Such a trash album. So overwrought..mushy and queasy and mystical..garbage.
Worst list ever
5. Oasis - (WTS) MG? 4. Radiohead - OK Computer 3. Soundgarden - Superunknown 2. Cranberries - NNTA 1. Green Day - Dookie
Nice!
I like how you blamed them for being internet unsearchable. Yet in 1994 most people didn’t have email or were actually paying for the privilege.
Um...we pointed out that fact about present day. We never "blamed" them for not being searchable in 1994.
4:30 The singles were Swallowed/Greedy Fly/Cold Contagious/Mouth(remix)
Yeah, I got more into that album after this episode was made and those are all good songs.

Cobain destroy Axel's career ?😂😂😂😂😂 What a joke
This is a load of shite 😂
Thats interesting 🤔 they actually did that, wow?
They did in fact use the people I mentioned for their video and album art.
Too much research for such a moot subject. Kurt did not destroy Axl, Axl destroyed Axl. The spaghetti incident was such a lame album no wonder Izzy left. The hot chick's review of the album is fair, but still giving it too much attention.
The hot chick said hi 😜
In 1996 Samuel Bayer wasn't just "the guy who directed Smells Like Teen Spirit", he had directed some of the most successful videos of that era, including Cranberries' "Zombie", Smashing Pumpkins' "Bullet With The Butterfly Wings" and Toad The Wet Sprocket's "Fall Down". The cover isn't "from a fine art magazine", it's a work by artist Andres Serrano, who was pretty famous at the time for his controversial "Pisschrist", but Metallica were probably familiar with him because he had done the video for Godflesh's "Crush My Soul", Kirk Hammet being a big fan of Godflesh. THAT "OLD LADY" IS MARIANNE FAITHFULL, YOU IGNORANT OAF.
Troll alert!
@@sambassmusic78 Idiot alert!
Kurt directed it aswel and made it better cause the original sucked according to cobain
Honestly, Load is my personal favorite Metallica album. I know that seems way off for a typical metallics fan who most of which either like The Black album or Master of Puppets the most. Load just has a sexy sound and is less bland than their thrash stuff. The Black Album was just too slow paced for me. I think if metallics had different branding during the Load/Reload era (I.e didn’t get haircuts or change their logo) they’d get better reception for both Load and Reload.
lol what ruined axis career was Metallica tour black album riots , I was listening to everything back then from sepultura to nirvana , nirvana were really popular but not the kings , it was a diff genre totally to metal but I can see why guns n roses coulda of been affected because like nirvana they were easier to listen to by non metal fans
Yeah I left out the part where Axl literally threw down a microphone and quit the show because someone took his picture (leading to thousands of dollars in damages from rioters).
@@sambassmusic78 thats right he jumped in crowd lol . Saw him smash a few mics . 🤣👍🙂

Load came out when I was 11 and that was the album coming out when I first got into Metallica. They were the first band that I was really into. Recently I revisited their discography. Its been a lot of fun.
Nice! What's your favorite track from Load? I agree, Load and Reload are really fun albums to cruise around to!
Kyuss
load and reload are great
Hell yeah they are! What's your favorite song from them?
@@sambassmusic78 It's tough, but from Load, probably Until It Sleeps and from Reload it's Low Man's Lyric
@@UncleUncleRj Nice! Two excellent choices. I'd probably go with Ain't My Glitch from Load...although Hero Of The Day was up there. From Reload it'sThe Memory Remains. The Unforgiven 2 also rocks hard.
I hated load
Why?
BORING AS HELL!!!!
@@davedecker1725 I think it starts out pretty fresh and although it does have dips of intensity, that adds to the vibe.
I know why they did the loads. If they did Master of Puppets mk.4 That would be just as boring. So, try some different flavors. I'm probably the only one who likes St. Anger
@@davedecker1725 I admire your bravery to admit that you like St. Anger. I wanted to like it because I like Nu Metal but alas...I feel as though the drums sound like they were recorded in a bathroom stall.
soundgarden also seemed to have a big influence on what 80s metal bands did in the 90s
Yea I always thought Cornell was the one grunge guy who sang like an 80's rock singer, and nobody noticed. He went for the high register.
@@sambassmusic78 he sang like the ultimate 80s singer up high and the ultimate 90s singer down low :)

@@sambassmusic78 yep
an amazing pair of albums
Amazing indeed.
Young man, young man 🤦🏽♂️
That's definitely one of my favorite g and R albums. It's all covers if I'm not mistaken
Awesome! Yes, it is an all covers album. 😎
Axel destroyed his own career 😂 he got fat and forgot how to sing or can't sing anymore...it was probably Kurts doing beyond the grave.
So you're more willing to believe that Kurt's ghost destroyed Axl's career than what he actually did while alive?
It was not Izzy who they were suing, Steven Adler was suing them.
You are correct! I made a mistake.
People who weren’t from age 15 to age 23 in 1991 should never state their opinion on what they think of Nirvana - or the whole “grunge thing” in early 1990’s. Seriously, if you were alive in 1991, having younger generations whine about how overrated Nirvana was…is both irritating and laughable. Because of Kurt Cobain and his band named Nirvana? Society actually changed. No shit. It wasn’t a regular chart-topping situation. It was something much more on a societal level - and no, it hasn’t happened since then.
Who is still alive?
Mickey Mouse?
What does that have to do with anything?
@@JohnDoe-od7ye Mickey is public domain? Ya, your right. LOL
@@sambassmusic78 Obama
@@dacechasinghawk3910 Axel sings like Mickey now. It’s embarrassing beyond belief.
Hahahahaaha fuck!!
The spaghetti was Steven's gear. Axl never fell off. GN'R was unstable and ways parted. Had GN'R stayed together, they wouldn't have taken a back seat to anyone or any movement. Grunge didn't affect GN'R, but GN'R was the bridge to grunge. Kurt was a hypocrite and in the end, a meaningless failure of a father.
The way I see it, Kurt Cobain suffered from mental illness problems but still managed to make sure his daughter was set for life. That doesn't seem very meaningless to me.
Axl was gone for 8 years and came back and sold out stadiums. Nirvana never played stadiums. Kurt Cobain had zero impact on Axl’s career.
Um...there are literally videos of Nirvana playing stadiums on You Tube.
@neinnonon There's the random troll I was looking for!
6:33 wait, did you see the actual footage of this or just the interview were Kurt tells the story ?
I did see the actual footage, it's from a show they played in 1993. It's on You Tube and Krist is making fun of the GNR video during some stage banter.
@@sambassmusic78 Could it rather be from the MTV music award 1992 ?
I couldn't find the footage for now. But I found a footage of Rose burning his Nirvana cap on stage.
@@funfair-bs7wf No it was from a show in 1993 but I just don't remember which one I saw. I saw Kurt making fun of "Use Your Illusion" in an interview too. It was a running joke within the band.
@@funfair-bs7wf ua-cam.com/video/hy0GxcWE_ZM/v-deo.html
thump up for spaghettis
👍
Love them both. Kurt didn't kill Axl's career
If Axl Rose couldn't destroy Axl Rose's career, Kurt Cobain sure as hell couldn't. This is a garbage take.
Its so hard ig being nirvana fan and not bring axl down for a minute
I remember blaring “Civil War” in a 1990 Thunderbird (black one, too, stereo was fuggin’ crazy) - and after the song was over? Lounge Act. Meaning? Gossip-feud bullshit from 33 years ago. Doesn’t matter now. It’s 2024. Have to say, though, the lack of a true rock icon after Kurt Cobain is evident in the present. It’s all “bleh” from 1994 on, apparently, until the next “one” shows up…
Get your info correct
What info exactly are you referring to?
@@sambassmusic78 it was Steven Adler who was behind the spaghetti incident lawsuit, not Izzy.
@@animalwillopus79 Looks like you're right I knew Izzy left the group around that time so I got them mixed up.
Who had the last laugh though?? At least Axl’s head is in tact
What a zinger! 🤮
@@sambassmusic78 factual though. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. I didn’t pull the trigger 🤷🏻♂️
Since I dont have you punk.rock????
I just got home from a concert and I had a few drinks and an edible, and this show is hitting great. I like the eating-spaghetti-vibe you guys got going on.
Hell yeah! Your comment is hitting great too! 🤘
It's cool that Gn'R did a covers album of punk and 50's music. It didn't do well because the mainstream didn't know the Misfits, Dead Boys, Damned, Skyliners, etc. Not because of Kurt Cobain.
Ever heard abt nikki sixxs spaghetti incident?
No what is that?
@@sambassmusic78 its when a girl vomitting spaghetti all over nikki when nikki and tommy made a stupid bet.
@@axlscum 🤢🤮
Axl did it to himself, he pushed the rest of the band away, one by one they all quit. Took way too damn long to get the new album going. Hired some very odd choices for a new band. The new songs were stylistically not what people were hoping for. The delays, rewrites, rerecordings, and replacing the replacements over and over, just kept burying the band. BUT, Slash and Duff came back and they're playing huge stadiums and earning ridiculous money now. They came out alright, it only took like 20 years to get back on track LOL. And hey! They've even released new music. Axl survived Kurt and is doing just fine now.
I agree with a lot here but I think if Kurt and Axl had been cool it may have led to Axl turning GNR into the industrial rock band he wanted it to be. That would have fit right in with the late 90's and GNR would have had a second act.
Sorry to say, but Chinese Democracy was worth the wait only because of “Better” and “Street Of Dreams”. Might hear crap out of this, but those two songs could probably displace UYI and Appetite “staples” on a GNR greatest hits collection… I’d throw “November Rain” down the crapper in favor of “Street Of Dreams”. And “Better” could decapitate and incinerate any leftovers of “Sweet Child O’ Mine”. I said it and will own the opinion. Bumblefoot kicked ass on the tracks, other guitarest(s) on the album didn’t really do it..
@@jme23 I think the first three opening tracks are an epic way to start the record. "Better" is in fact my favorite song on the album.
You didn’t like their first two albums? Are you insane??!!?? Also, I really liked the spaghetti incident,, but not as much as the first two.
Yes he is.
