Liara is such a fkn dork, I love her lmao
I know! She's so silly!
Rosehip and reshi teas give half warmth back, you should wait to drink them you can usually drink 2 or 3 teas before they go cold on misery
Thanks for the tip! Do they work on a diminishing return scale? I swear I've seen people drink a few teas and eventually the warmth is like nothing
@kobojo187 they work all the time unless you're not hungry or thirsty to consume enough I believe. Not sure I understand what you mean diminished return.
You said they give half warmth back. Does that amount get smaller with more teas? So first one is 50% 2nd one is 25% etc etc
@@kobojo187No, they do stack, warmth wise, but there’s a difference in the warmth in the teas - Rosehip gives the most warmth, then Reishi, then Birch. Birch tea kinda sucks for warmth, but is renewable. The warmth buff used to be in the last gulp, but unsure if that’s still the case. The medicinal use of Reishi still works even if it’s the last gulp.
@@BrianBindner that's great to know, thanks so much! Will keep in mind for future runs
The geth lore is interesting. I guess I get both sides. Since the intention was never to create sentient life, but only to create beings that would serve their purposes it makes sense why their first reaction would be hit the kill switch and start over. If my computer started asking me questions about life and doing things it wasnt supposed to I would freak out and factory restart it too. But then yeah, obviously as a sentient being if your creator was like "hm, no we're starting from scratch" you fight back.
Yeah, I'm curious how things would have been if they had accepted them as sentient and tried to communicate and work with them rather then immediately move to murder. But like tali said. They're In-organic beings. They have no need for organic life. So she might have been right to assume they would have attacked first. This game really does make you think about things
I feel like the stuff with the marine's body was meant to be a moral thing, but personally I kinda see it as very cut and dry. I feel like in military service there are a lot of conditions that can result in a body being unable to be returned. MIA or bodies in no condition to be moved or in unsafe conditions to be returned to pubic access etc etc. I feel like there would have been a disclaimer when they signed papers to join about stuff and ultimately its not up to next of kin to decide. Pushing to have the body returned just for personal satisfaction of family and denying the research potential to save countless others feels selfish and shortsighted ihmo. I feel like thats the lot youre dealt being with a marine or someone in similar situations ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is still one of my all time favourite games. Also, did you liken the force to space magic? 😂
I'm excited to play it, I am a big fan, and yes, yes I did 🤣🤣
the way the husks run is hilarious, its hard to take them seriously as a threat lmao
Just you wait!
It smells like Jenkins and Death
🤣🤣🤣🤣
that sketchy ass bridge made me fear for your life and somehow also mine
5:32 I don't get it either. Sardines are exactly the same food poisoning risk (3%) as cooked meat from 75% condition down to 20% and *safer* below 20%.
Safer below 20%? Wdym?
When sardines are below 20% condition, they are safer than cooked meat that's below 20% condition.
20:56 It varies per run which buildings are accessible.
Ahh that's good to know. I didn't know that
6:26 The jackrabbit flask is always at the plane crash somewhere. You see it behind the tree when you spin around at 6:15. I had to watch at .25x to catch it. 😂
Rip
The wolf meat timer was messed up because you were including the hide.
I too was thinking about this. The cooking pot weighs the same as the skillet. A full POT of water takes 2 hours to complete. The skillet does half the amount of water in an hour. So (and hopefully this is making sense) the cooking skillet takes the same amount of time to make the same amount of water. You just have to set it up twice. It also cooks all The new recipes. In my opinion. It’s worth carrying over the cooking pot. However I’m still testing and I have not looked into meat cooking speeds. Is there a basement to Thompsons!?! Try transferring all the matches to a container and transferring back. It may combine them.
I'll have to test the cooking pot speeds and try combining the matches. If that works that would be awesome. Thompson's does not have a basement to the best of my knowledge
@@kobojo187 in your video there looks like there is a cellar. Not sure if it’s accessible through. I wasn’t aware either but will be looking into it.
@@InfaMoose1107 yeah they have the basement doors. But I don't believe they are accessible
Surprise cameo!
It really was a surprise! LOL
Doofus is not a term I’ve heard in a long time 😂
Local Newspaper reads: Man Hunts Rabbits with Growling Bear.
Heyo Moose here. The moose do despawn. It can take several days for them to respawn in the same location.
Hurry up and respawn soon thanks! I have a friend I would like you to meet
Per your request.. you suck! Loving the series for real. Can’t wait to see you bag a moose! Or a moose bag you. 😬
LOL, Glad you're enjoying it! Gunna keep it up as long as possible, that moosehide satchel is very tempting.
The bear cave is the complete opposite side of Spence’s farm. Glad you realized. Everything is harder in the dark but glad he didn’t come home and find you as a snack. Really enjoying the series!
I was so nervous he was gunna come home while i was snoozing. it was a terrifying decision. but i think it was the smart one at the time
Trust in the torch 📢
Ballsy using the flare to light the fire barrel. I tend to hold on to them incase I run in to wildlife and it’s too windy for a torch.
18:49 Cameo. 😄
Personally I like the title. I wouldn’t think to much of it.
long dark watcher hereee! pls keep posting this series ive been binge watching your content loolol
That's so great to hea man. Worry not. More of this series will be coming soon ( keep an eye out today)
Cold fusion is more valuable to a loper player, it makes the difference between freezing or not inside building when in early game
For sure, Eventually i want to drop feats all-together, but since im a baby, I figured it was worth it to take
Welcome to loper, where the main thing you find is nothing lol. Good luck!!
LOL, Nothing and pain seems to be in abundance :)
@@kobojo187Pain, nothing, and death. Lol Death is always around the corner. He finds you more often than you find him. I forgot to say this last night on the second episode, but your next set of matches should be in the climbers area, in the cave on your way to mystery lake..... Should be, custom has a way of screwing around.
RIP
I know but it has to be done
somuch loot!!!!!!!!!!
So much.
I know from experience it takes two shots with the revolver to bring down a regular wolf. I’m not sure how many hp the timby has. I assume more. Not sure the revolver was the way to go. But you’re still breathing, so all’s well that ends well.
I always think the lichen is a bandage too.
The rag doll physics are kinda hilarious, the half splits when you died fkn got me
Promo-SM
didnt they add a sled thing to help move loot? could be good in the future
They did! The Travois. If i had planned better i could have made one, but i was gun ho trying to get that bear after we got the arrows.
all good still wasagood video @@kobojo187
I thought u were gonna craft aroows where the forge was
I didn't bring the birch saplings for weight. It definitely would have been a smart play though
watching this series so far just goes to show me that ive been playing the game all wrong! Im kicking myself for not realizing I could warm up drinks placing them next to the fire. also wanted to say im glad I found this channel! It's relaxing and fun to watch
Glad you're enjoying it! The game definetly has some cool mechanics. You can also place canned food that can be heated (like tomato soup) next to the fire too!
Great video, can't wait for the next episode!!
Thanks man! Glad to hear it! We release Monday Wednesday and Friday!
arnt u able to read books to help with skills?
You can for sure. Books are a good way to level up skills, but i try to use them when I need to pass time to make efficient use of the day
first comment!!! defently gonna watch more of this play through, tisnice and chill
Thanks man! Glad your'e enjoying it! Its been fun to play too!
I bet you make a delicous steak
🤣🤣🤣
make me one too!!!
On it!
I usually have maple on my to do list, Primarily for travois.
I just got the DLC, ill have to play with the Travois for sure. Its on my list of things to try though
i feel this is obvious... but 23 episodes in. lol still an something i see often. clothing . when it dips below 50% it needs to be fixed. 1 ofc u get better warmth 2 ofc so when u get atked it doesnt break.... ofc warmer u are the longer u can stay outside doing productive things. its boring and so on yes. but this game is about the little things. you are really good at the game. u could play interloper if u knew the maps better. u def got the mindset for it. all that said i realize ur trying to make videos, and be entertaining. watching someone fix stuff etc not exciting i get it. but this game as a whole isnt exciting to be honest. its walking simulator lol. yet we still play, watch vids on it. i really cant tell u why........ i just like the game despite that facts i know i shouldnt.....lol
Me forgetting about clothing is mostly me just being dumb hahaha. I always forget to check clothing durability. But yes i agree, i do need to be more on top of clothing, will definitely help me in the long run.
also like that doe 26:30 if u see ravaged animals DO not touch it unless u going to take stuff from it. once u interact with the corpse timer starts. and its already ravaged so its like 1-2 days it disapear. i seen u interact with many corpses and do nothing.... saying i get this later. ME: uhmm no u wont.......... it be gone
Oh i wasnt aware of that, ill have to keep that in mind! Thanks for the tip!
also u can always Quarter u kill. quickest way to get everything deal with meat later the meat will be in in bags i think like 5 kil bags top popup menu picture of knife, and animal in pieces. like puzzle almost. knife is ofc harvest. 2nd is quarter option. i didnt know or see that ever till video. def can come in handy.
Honestly forgot about quartering a kill,. I will have to keep that in mind. Thanks for the reminder!
so to stp cabin fever. its usually simple. weather permiting.. cook outside always. fix ur clothes outside etc. u had cabin fever or risk in this one. u went inside and spent time cookin lol. little things like that, that make big difference. so when bad weather is on u. u can seek shelter. ofc the other thing u already know, sleepin in caves, and fishing hut. at least the hut ur gathering food, cooking while burning off the cabin fever.
yeah, Cabin fever is one of those mechanics I've known about, but never actually experienced. Just something I'll have to pay more attention to.
You shouldnt leave anything behind. If you want to actually survive long term you should hoard everything. You can have a base in every location with all the gear from that region. Especially matches, you can never have too many matches. You should also be starting fires with torches, not matches, so the five percent bonus from wooden matches doesnt matter. If anything cardboard matches are better, because theyre lighter. Prybars are very important to have, you can access locked lockers and car trunks. Theyre also the best tool for breaking ice fishing holes. I leave them in fishing huts so i dont damage my hatchet or knife. You also should always harvest lichen to treat infection risk. Ive never seen someone not have the wound dressing from lichen. Especially how you make zero effort to avoid wolves. Good luck.
You're right, saving all the resources I can, However this Playthrough just a casual play, im not planning on surviving for 500 days or anything, although that is a playthrough i want to do in the future. When we do one of those playthroughs i will absolutely worry about saving all the resources I can.
Finally got to watch last 2 episodes. i seen you go in rafters of the barn. i was shocked no rabiit cap. i guess it not perm loot or its changed now i dont know. updates maybe changed it too. was cool u found the flask or whatever though at the fishing hut.
Yeah. I was really excited to find the flask. Especially cuz it has just come out. . Those rafters were really cool. Not great loot but it was cool to know they were there
I haven't seen actual The Long Dark gameplay since like 2015-2016, so seeing that title in my recommendations really sent me back, and now that I see the new gameplay, it looks so much more fleshed out and expanded than it used to be 7 years ago
You should check out the updates! There's tons of new areas, there's a DLC which adds a ton of stuff. It's a ton of fun.
Never ever leave shell casings behind. They weigh almost nothing and can be used to make your own ammo later on.
Appreicate the tip! I was aware of this however, the goal is to rely on Bow and Arrow from here on out, cuz i dont ever get to use it.
@@kobojo187even still, you should never waste any resources
my dream custom game. m16 on spawn unlimited ammo lol.. and a lot more carry capacity
haha, Yeah carry capacity is rough.
