Liberation Basics - What is CCSVI??
Переглядів 57313 років тому
Informational video about the very basics of CCSVI, the Liberation Treatment, and Kellie's procedure findings. Wanted to provide a basic of the basics for people who don't know but are curious. There's a ton of info out there and it can be confusing. For newbies and those who have supported me on my own journey!!

24 Hours after my treatment I went down to the beach, walked along, collected some beautiful rocks - feeling stable, able to walk, balance is much better. I was told to take it easy for a few days but its hard because this is so miraculous!! Happy! Happy!

I'm finally adding my voice to the many. A short video of me doing those silly exercises! Looking forward to Liberation Treatment in 3 weeks. Still need to raise funds to pay for it (my insurance Kaiser won't even consider it). To help go to www.gofund.com/liberatekellie

wow!! This video is just plain inspirational. I am so happy that the CCSVI treatment is changing patients lives in great positive ways. I hope it continue to does so. I hope you get better and better. I'm sure many people are looking to get the treatment and want to pick the best place possible that they can afford. I want to name a place that I have heard of: Dayton Interventional Radiology in Dayton, OH. I know a few patients that have gotten it done there, so i hope patients look into it.

Kellie, It's been a while...great to see you! Your report on how you are 8 months post liberation could have been my words almost exactly! I'm proud of you for taking the step towards getting a scooter. I had my veins tested with an ultrasound in Sept. and they found a septum in one jugular and a "flap" in the other that can't be seen unless I'm sitting up. They also found reflux in my brain. I'm STILL fighting insurance to be reimbursed for the last procedure, so won't be treated soon.

Hey Kellie, Thanks for the update. I garage sale shop and one of the things I see all the time is mobility scooters. It's difficult for people to sell them and you can get them for a song. Check craigs list because many people list them in their garage sale items for sale and have a great time treasure hunting. Prayers your way from Las Vegas, Craig

Dr.Avneesh Gupte, the Neurosurgeon at Noble Hospital performing the procedure has been encouraged by results in Cerebral Palsy patients as well. “We are fortunate to be able to offer the treatment because not every hospital is able to perform these types of transplants. You must have the specialized medical equipment and specially trained doctors and nurses”. A universal benefit reported by every patient has been the recovery of bladder control. Most MS patients have various bladder control symptoms that include urinary urgency, incontinence, nocturia, or urinary hesitancy as a result of the disruption of electrical impulses from the brain to the nerves and muscles that are involved in emptying the bladder (pudenal nerve, urethral sphincter, detrusor muscle). @Todybear010 Thank you for your comment - glad you pointed out the hormonal thing. I need to be more mindful of that. I definitely sensed being more tired during that time but now I will track how it affects my walking. You are lucky to have a physiotherapist to help you with your rehab. I wish I had one!

@MsHopeforhealing Hey Rachel. I did not start the Neprinol.I want to but need to work it into my budget. I actually have a masters in spiritual counseling I finished 2.5 years ago. Going forward to get a license was just not a possibility with my illness. I thought I would never be physically able to continue. It is very new and I'm still not sure where it will go but even seeing that as a possibility is quite a shift! Looking forward to your update!

Kellie, It is so great to see you and hear what you have to say again! You always think to say things that have been on my heart and my mind. It's no surprise to learn that it's in your heart to go into counseling! You shared really great tips-things that we all need to be reminded of. I'm gearing up to make my 4 month video. Can you believe we're 1/3 of a year into this? Did you start taking Neprinol? I'm so glad to have you as my liberation friend! Take care.

@MsHopeforhealing Thanks Rachel! That's why I did it - plus many of those who donated to me didn't have a clue what I was having done. Any ideas for how to get this out to more people? People who it could help?

@cowboystew Thanks Nancy - i know for me it was going on faith and figuring it all out as I went along. I felt it would be helpful to have a really simple explanation outside of the "controversy" and political climate. Please send away, I believe the more people who are aware of this, the quicker it will be adopted and perfected for those it helps!!

Kellie, I can put my pants on without falling over too! Yea us! Such little things can be so big! It's so good to hear how you're doing! After watching your video, I realized more things that have improved for me too. Thanks for that. I've had another emotional thing happen too...I had to spend some time "grieving" the symptoms that I still have. But, now a couple of weeks later, some of those are even getting better and I'm not concentrating on them so much.

@Todybear010 blessings on your journey. I can't comment on the MRV place since I had a doppler done at CCSVI-Atlanta but all of the clinic staff are great, and even though it is in an odd location (you may feel like you entered a different world and if you've never been to the states, most of the US is nothing like Southern California), once inside you are in really good hands! Always know I am here if you have any questions, just e-mail me!!
