I started this channel after visiting a school in NYC where I use to work and seeing that they don't offer kids art lessons in public schools. Can you imagine, being a student in NYC and not having weekly visual art lessons in school? My heart just broke for all that lost opportunity to spark imagination and for our future. This channel is an attempt to give all kids, all over the world, FREE art lessons right in their own homes. Lessons are focused for elementary students, but can be utilized by "kids" of all ages!! enjoy. Please email me with questions, suggestions and comments to Miriam.Cutelis@yahoo.com
Come back weekly for new choice-based, visual art lessons. No more step-by-step projects, no!! these projects pull out the innovative and creative YOU!!!

Printmaking in the elementary classroom. Made this video to support my mentee and any other teacher who needs guidance in rolling out printmaking with scratch foam. A huge shout out to Studio in a School in New York City, where I learned all of these amazing skills.

Hi Mrs cutelis it's me Arceli I am in my mom's account
HI!!! enjoy
Thanks btw this is me on my dads account, I was in your class last year in 4th grade!
I'm in the same place, Miriam! Was thinking 'Live Participation' will be a great way to engage students in synchronous instruction.
I have not yet checked that out! That’s next!!
Really nice video, and congratulations! My 5 y/o and I watched this together and he laughed hysterically at "Laz's Asses!" We also really enjoyed the heart-warming parts of the video and the animals! Again, really nice video!
I loved the image too!! I’m an artist so I made the images for my team. I guess it is very funny... Thanks for the comment
Ms Cutelis is amazing! She is not constantly reminding us this year will be a challenge but giving us permission to make mistakes. Letting us know that we were not trained to teach remotely but we will do the best that we can. Ms Cutelis is full of tips and I really like the one of taking a screenshot for attendance.
Thank you!! I miss teaching (in person) so much! It's important we all help each other so that kids continue to get great art lessons weekly, despite the uphill battle this year will be.
This is helpful, thanks! What program do you use to create your lessons?
I use mostly slides on Google, I also add some quizzes and other tools from Nearpod and we use canvas as the platform in which we deliver asynchronous lessons
Thank you!
You're welcome! I think I will do one for behavior management in the remote classroom too.... but that will be after we start.
Hi, Beautiful video! I think we have a lot in common! Let's support each other! Love, Irene
You just saved me. Thank you!
You are welcome! you made my day too!
