If she can hack it, good for her! I have no issue whatsoever with a girl competing in an otherwise male sport... so long as they can do so at a competitive level without rule changes or special arrangements on the field of play. If she can, great. But she is the rare exception. There was a video I watched recently of a boxing match between a female soldier and a male Marine. According to the video description, the female soldier boasted that she could "whoop any marine on the base". Of course she got demolished, but what was amusing to me is how she acted at the beginning of the bout. Her demeanor and obvious "bad ass" attitude could be clearly seen. In other words, she really did believe she was tough enough to beat a male Marine in the ring. As a society and culture, we are clearly misleading women. All the talk about how "a woman can do anything a man can do, and do it better", has clearly gone to some women's heads. I'm sure there is a male Marine somewhere that she could actually compete against without being subject to a first round knockout. But she really did think she could whoop any man.... until she got punched in the mouth. That was a hard fight to watch. She didn't connect once. The residue of Christian culture is still holding on in the West, if by a thread. But it still makes most men reluctant to be violent to a woman... even if she is talking smack. And I suppose this woman had not yet run into a man who reacted to her tough talk in any kind of tough way. She ran into a man in the ring who just didn't give a flip, and beat the living crap out of her in about 45 seconds. But when the guy was declared the winner, all the other males watching the fight booed!
