As a homeowner with 2 no soliciting signs: the best response to a salesman knocking is "OH WOW!!! THAT'S EXCITING!! ok, i don't have clothes on, just wait here while I get dressed!!"-----> 10 minutes later they knock again -----> " I have a pizza in the oven. Let me get this out before it burns!!! Just wait a minute!!" ------> another knock-----> "my dog is in the bathtub. Just a second, let me get him out!!" These statistics astonished me! For whatever reason I didn’t even think that if I went into real estate that I would basically get double commission as I not only list the home but help the sellers buy a new one. I do lead generation and make 200-300 contacts a DAY and make jack squat selling home remodeling in a stupid hard market even though I made a lot of sales 😂 ($50 bonus each 😂). I love face to face conversations which is what I do everyday on the job as I walk around a BJ’s and pry open all of the customers. I have people who always remember me and say hi. Real Estate just seems like a much smarter decision to me.
