Also to answer your question on why they hire people in their 20s for highschool it’s for time and budget reasons! Kids under 18 “pumpkin” meaning they can only work a certain amount of hours a day- way less than people above the age. They also require adult supervision like parents on set which just costs more money… I think they can only work like 8 hours versus older people can work 12+. Kids also need to go to school on set. Hiring real kids just takes a lot of logistical planning which is why props should go to Pen13 haha.
