You made a tax write off anyway why would you want to spend a half $1 million on a piece of junk like this when you can spend less money and have a dependable diesel engine that you can work on and you don’t have the problems of charging. And batteries don’t do so well in the heat and in the cold climate but diesel engines do

Truckers have to be smart, at $500,000 msrp and the EPA new law stating any truck year model 2027 and newer have to have 80% less emissions (basically electric only vehicle) This will chase Owner Operators to extinction. Very few will be left, most will resort to being a company driver after all available options exceed their usability. In 2027 this does not mean we cant buy a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia but eventually these diesel engines will all generate so much miles on them that they will all be in the junk yard somewhere, as new production of diesel engines will halt. I mean a luxurious volvo is $180k why is an electric semi $500k???? Veteran owner ops can offord this, but like 5-10% who actually gross $500k-$1m/year from hauling specialized cargo. But this is pure insanity.

I drove one last week. My company was testing it out and i was lucky participant. Interior looks awesome but outside looks generic no taste. It hauls a heavy trailer with ease tho almost like your bob tailing.

Nikola has a shady past. Not expected to be around by mid 2024.

It looks awesome, but I wouldn't take it OTR. There is no space for a fridge or personal stuff. Only space for sleeping, then if you use it local, there is no need for the bed.

Cool tour thanks. I’d take that extra space I’m the back, and expand that Lithionics system to 800.. maybe 1000ah. Looks like there’s food space for it, and Lithionics is a great open end system for expansion. Run that air conditioning all night long.
