Discover Wildlife in Sunrise at Welleby Park's BioBlitz Bingo
Resident scientists of all ages joined our sustainability team on September 14th for one of the newest Sunrise Good and Green initiatives: BioBlitz Bingo at Welleby Park.
Participants won giveaways, earned community service hours, and learned about local plants, insects, and wildlife species while also contributing to a genuine scientific survey of our City. This eco-scavenger hunt utilizing the free iNaturalist app began with nature walks as the means to help our City learn more about the flora and fauna in the area.
If you didn't make it on September 14th, we still welcome the community to participate by downloading the iNaturalist app, visiting Sunrise parks, and uploading photos of plants, insects, and wildlife all month long. Learn more at sunrisefl.gov/our-city/good-and-green/bioblitz.

Sunrise is nice city, but Hallandale Beach is a better city just beautiful with nice restaurants and beaches and shopping centers.
Other than the beach Sunrise is a better city Hallandale as too much outdated infrastructure

My father reported for induction on April 24, 1941. From there he began his military service at Fort Bragg, NC. From there he joined the WW II European Theater, protecting our freedom, and using his expertise in communication to protect his Brothers, earning himself a Bronze Star. Thank you all for our Freedom
