January Survival Card
Grim survival card of the month for January 2025.
The Callie Russell Signature Survival Card was designed with wilderness living expert Callie Russell. Callie from alone season 7 spent 89 days in the Northwest Territories of Canada with only ten items to aid her. Callie lives a nomadic lifestyle, staying closely in contact with the natural world around her. Callie Russell has lived as a Shepard to her heard of goats, living with and being sustained from them in the wild. Callie has mastered many ancestral skills, including weaving, hunting, gathering, hide tanning, and more.
Callie has spent time as a wilderness therapy guide, tracking mountain lions for wildlife conservation, and shares her skills with kids at several nature connection schools. She also leads backcountry trips and teaches a variety of workshops on various wilderness and ancestral skills.
The Callie Russell Signature Survival Card is an 11 in 1 survival tool kit that utilizes multiple survival traps, as well as repair, and hunting gear. Callies metal survival card includes trapping gear as well as items to help construct other survival traps, perfect for rabbit snare traps and other flexible trap designs.

    Hey, There is a little translation missunderstanding. Infanterieverband is not qiuet right translated with association. More correct would be 'unit' or 'formation'. I dont know if you have any appropriate word for it. But it means a bond of infantrymen, you know? Thank you for your video. Mike.

    I have this item and it works well except when toasting bread which has to be turned over instead of it browning each side, it also takes a long time for toasting! Be sure the air fryer basket is on the rack with the pan on under the rack on the solid part of the oven! The bottom attached with screws can be cleaned with a plastic knife scraping the crumbs then wiping them up with a damp paper towel! Don't use glass cleaner to clean the glass window, use dish detergent as stated in the directions!

    The instructions are not written at all, just pictures and a few of them are confusing. But I figured it out. Just leave the tank on the ground instead of letting the grill support the weight of it. They did improve this by putting in metal side holders instead of the cheap plastic but they also could have spent another 50 cents and put the wheels on axles. It does the job, don't leave it out uncovered or it will rust in no time.

      I have to say I’ve had it for two seasons now and it’s doing fine. It was a cheap model so I don’t expect miracles. Didn’t put the tank on that slotted thing that just looked weird to me. I just set it on the deck. Starting to get a little bit of rust here and there. But it looks like it’ll go another season.

    I've seen a few reviews where QC issues have shown up regarding the "slide lock" getting stuck, and the blades being marginally warped - thankfully the slide lock problems usually show up pretty quickly, and the blade warping isn't enough to affect the functionality of the knife. As you said, it's a $10 knife, and parts of it really show that - but if you don't get a lemon, it's a pretty good $10 knife, and I'd much rather carry and use it than the knife it was obviously patterned after, the Bugout, because I can buy a ton of these knives (assuming Walmart manages to keep them in stock eventually) for the same price as a single Bugout, and I won't really care if they get damaged or lost - that's not the way I'd feel about a $150-$200 knife!

    • @redsoniareviews
      @redsoniareviews 4 місяці тому

      I agree. I have a $200 knife. I seldom take out and use because just so damn expensive. My 10 and $20 ones I use all the time and beat the crap out of.

  • @MuvoTX
    @MuvoTX 4 місяці тому

    Its a good service-able knife, medium-light duty tasks only though. Just give it fidget time to break in and the lock will settle. The black coating on the lock bar and scales will wear thin and reveal the silver underlying metal as it breaks in. By lubing it you are (to some degree) slowing the break-in. Lube also attracts dust, dirt and pocket lint. Stone wash denim garments sometimes have residual sand in the pocket, so watch out for that. So your bearings may start to feel gritty. When this happens I use electronic / plastics safe spray cleaner on my knives. Worth the YT hype?... probably not IMHO. But for $10, you can do a WHOLE LOT worse. For the price of a super size McDonalds #1 meal you can get TWO of these knives.

    • @redsoniareviews
      @redsoniareviews 4 місяці тому

      I totally agree. For $10 knife it is really good.

    I hope you are ok man, and not eating these things all the time. I can tell you're a bigger guy, and I don't mean any offense by that. Hell, I'm 5'11" and 290lbs.. so I'm no one to judge. But I hope you are only reviewing these "occasionally" and not relying on them on for everyday meals. In general, MRE's by design are meant to be for active people. Most of them are calorie and protein dense because they're designed for soldiers in the field. They've been adapted and used by civilians, like campers and hikers, but even they're ACTIVE people "out in the field" burning the calories off and putting the protein to work. These things are also salt heavy, because sodium is a key electrolyte. But for people who sit around all day (me included) this is BAD for your heart and circulation. Got swollen legs? Well, this will only make it worse. Then you have the "preppers" who may just store this stuff for doomsday or whatever lol. They typically save them and don't eat them unless they had no food and needed food for a day.
