As you mention, if you arent running ultras/trails you dont need the Apex 2 Pro. But, thr A2P comes with much improved build quality, sapphire glass, maps, bigger battery, To help achieve the battery life MIP displays are used. While not as "pretty" as an amoled screen, there function does as intended, improves battery life and is perfectly visible in the sun. The screen is an acceptable trade off on eother for the marked battery life improvement and better running metrics

I am a beginner videomaker/photographer and I chose this camera to start my work and I am very satisfied with the results I have been getting with both video and photos. My clients are very satisfied. This camera is excellent and I intend to keep it for a few years.

Yes the best digital camera I ever bought. My set up is a6700 + 16 to 55mm. Shoot lot of photos and 8 bits 60fps video for family holiday. They love the speed of uploading to their phone and can share straight out from camera. Yet can have raw for me to PS in later stages. The video in low light is good with my slow panning.

I so agree with you. I have one and it is a very impressive camera, probably one of those few perfect cameras from Sony. The other perfect camera, but it is getting a little old, is the A7R3. I shoot still mainly but do some video once in a great while. All those things you mentioned plus the new flippy screen really makes this the perfect camera.

The value of "good enough & affordable" should get more attention. So many UA-camrs are just feeding people's GAS (gear acquisition syndrome), pushing them to buy more expensive stuff that they can barely afford and probably don't even need. I'm not immune to that, but I do love the fact that I don't worry about my almost 8-year-old Fuji X-T20 anymore and I can just impulsively stuff it in a pocket to explore the city!

Had my first 5K run yesterday without any run/walk stops, at my new faster easy pace, which I needed to start running at after my running analysis a few weeks back. I'm not quite used to running at that pace for longer distances yet, so definitely took some mental strength to keep going. Thanks for inspiring us all you legend! 😊
