Thank you for watching. Very small. lol Don't know the precise measurements honestly. Check the Amazon link for it in the description box.
it is good to use screen protector ? on laptop

Hello Thanks for the info...nice video! Do you think I can install an additional nano disk (Lenovo 1080PRO 4TB SSD M2 NGFF SSD SATA 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVME) 4terabytes? will be supported? I found an offer on Aliexpress and it's super cheap...40€ Just checked better online...looks like a crappy imitation of the real thing..
Thank you for watching. WOW 4TB of NVMe storage! Try it and if it doesn't work you can always sell it for double the price. You will do whatever is best for you. Good luck.
thank you so much please i have a question, I have same laptop in your video, my Drive Model is Micron 2210S NVMe 512GB, Can i add another sata hard drive ?
You are welcome, thank you for watching. Yes, you can freely add a SATA HDD, hope you got a cable and caddy/bracket.
You failed to mention that 2 of the black screws for the outside cover (back) are shorter than the others
Thank your for watching, if I did then I accept full responsibility. Hope you were able to get your job done despite.
@@smooth.IT.operator Actually not. I managed to replace the battery but the computer would not run even plugged in. Upon investigation I found I had mangled the end of the flat cable from the touch pad. Now I can't find a replacement.
@@ramtek2702 Sorry to hear it. It could be challenging to find spare parts, maybe even used ones on Ebay, Amazon or Ali? You should be able to run your laptop without the touchpad plugged into the MBO I believe so your issue of laptop not starting might be deeper than that.
@@smooth.IT.operator I've already come up empty on all of your suggestions, but thanks anyway. What I suspect is the mangled contacts on the cable caused a short in the logic preventing startup. I will try running without a cable to see if I destroyed the logic permanently. I've done quite a lot of electronic assembly like this and that is the poorest style cable termination/assembly I've seen. Very easily damaged without knowing it.

Which size of screw did you use for opening the motherboard nuts?
Thank you for watching. Couldn't tell precisely really.
@@smooth.IT.operator After upgrading the SSD, the back cover didn't fit properly. What should we do now. Is there any suggestions?
@@asifraj321 I see. Thank you for explaining. My suggestion is yes, get shorter screws if you used longer ones and they are preventing the backcover to fit properly.
I have 8 gb of ram in my laptop pf same model, can I add another 8 gb ram and make it 16gb?
Thank you for watching. If you add a single 8GB RAM module you will have 12 GB. 4GB is soldered already onto the motherboard.

Is it ok if i choose 1tb for the ssd? Thanks!

Where is the CMOS battery of this PC located???
@@emmanueljoshua5074 Thank you for watching. Get the serial number located on the back cover of your laptop. Then go to HP support pages, enter the serial number and download the service manual pdf. You got everything in the manual.
Thank you for this. I have 786 GB storage available and the system is slow. Tried everything. I use to study via websites. I have 4 GB RAM tgought it would be enough. thanks for posting a link to the standoff.
You are welcome. Thank you for watching.
@smooth.IT.operator did the standoff sit flush on the motherboard? I screwed it in, but it doesn't screw in completely. I used a tool to screw it some more and it actually broke.
@@christ5687 Excellent question. The one in this very vid is so short and had to do approx. only one and a half full twist, almost to the point that I was unsure did it really sit properly but it did. My English might not be precise. ;)
a question sir i have this laptop and it's like a little different as it has bigger battery but not sata ssd slot it's same 15ALC6 my question is i check on crucial it says it can support a 16gb ram stick so max ram 20gb can u check if it support 16gb stick i read some reviews and it says it work
Thank you for watching. This I found on Lenovo forum: "Based on specs, for models with 4GB onboard, the maximum memory capacity would be 12GB, while the 16GB is applicable to those with 8GB onboard, and this should increase the usable RAM"
@@smooth.IT.operator thanks I also read that but when I go to crucial site and they scan my PC it suggest I can also use 16gb stick. And thanks for reply I will do some more research
@@ArthurLewyin10 Crucial wants to sell their products. If you will have a headache later with the compatibility, would Crucial assist you or even give you an exchange for a different module?
@@smooth.IT.operator well i had a break and did some research and use this command in cmd "wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity, MemoryDevices" it show that 16gb max and there are 2slots so max 8gb per slot you are right thank you again brother and well said that 8gb soldered may support 16gb stick.thanks again

how your laptop works with no batteries on it 🤣
You simply plug in the AC cable and it works even if both internal batteries are removed. My laptop didn't work in this video because of faulty battery which even prevented the other battery from charging. So both batteries empty all the time.

Thank you for watching. RAM is 260pins. Listed in the description box of the video, Amazon link.
Hello brother, nice to greet you. I have a Lenovo ideapad 3 15ALC6 too, but its ram memory is 8 GB (4GB internal and 4GB in a free module). My question is if the device can support 16GB RAM (in the free module). First of all, Thanks!
Thank you for watching. Single SO-DIMM Slot: Supports up to 8GB - "free module" as you called it. This is the safest route to take. Some people in the comment section wrote that they installed a 16GB RAM module. The device booted into Windows for some people but I don't know how this 20GB of RAM behaves under load. You can go the safe route or take some risk and get the 16GB module.

Hola, como puedo cambiar la frecuencia de Ram a 3200?
Thank you for watching. To be honest haven't done this on a laptop ever. Google is your friend or ask ChatGPT.
Thanks for your video! I’m a bit confused though. You said there are 4gb already integreted in the motherboard, and you showed us how to install a 8gb memory module in order to have as much as 12gb. So, what’s the use of the module you replaced with the new one?
Thank you for watching. From 8Gb to 12GB. More RAM more smooth multitasking. Windows doesn't need to offload usually RAM workloads to a less desirable swap file on the laptop's SSD drive. Some people here put 16GB RAM module and is working for them. So 16GB + 4GB is 20GB altogether. Even better. Depends on how much you are willing to invest in RAM extension.
came from the reddit post, good shit dude
