I use shelf life mate. The quality is unbelievable and as the bait is steamed and not boiled it stays fresher for longer and stays soft aswell. Have a look at the 365 range from innovate they have a huge range of steamed baits that any angler would love. For me it's the squid 2t, get some of that in shelf life and you won't look back. The ingredients and goodies packed into every boilie is super impressive and unbelievably good for carp.

Mate I took the 17.5lbs over to gigantica and It was superb. Landed a good few carp up to 67lb. This 15.5lb is really good aswell fishing upto snags it really held up well. Big fan of the katran stuff. Hope you get on well with the new hooklink. It's the best out there in my opinion. Thank you mate and good luck out there.

@ I’ve been using the carp line over in France twice this year at Dreamlakes. Had some bigguns on it without any issues at all, great line and casts a dream mate!…..I’ve also got the head torch 460 pro, it’s unreal for playing fish in at night. And absolute game changer when wrapping up on sticks at night 👍🏻 love all the Katran gear so far 👌🏼😁

@ChrisCheeseBrown YESSSSSSS. Love a bit of bottom mate. Rip rik mayall. It was one of the live shows they did. I watch them when im fishing for some reason and no other time lol. Alot of the younger generation won't know about bottom, but if they reading this give it a watch.

@paulhughes9968 25m should be plenty, that's what I have and it's pretty much spot on. You could get the 50m but in all honesty you don't want 50m of cable running into the lake running further up the bank as I reckon you'd get a higher percentage of carp heading into the margin when it's hooked and the risks higher of possibly tangling in your mainline attached to a carp and you do not want that. I prefer to fish it as close to me as possible so when a carp picks up my hookbait it will bolt away in the opposite direction away from the cam as I believe carp aint stupid and know where people fish from on a lake. That's the most important thing about using a piece of equipment like this........ fish safety must come first. Reduce the risk as much as possible of tangles by having it as close to the bank as possible aswell as as close to the rods so the carp move away from it. Not towards. The reason why I got 25m is more to do with the distance you can get a bivvy realistically to the bank to run it into the bivvy. As you can see in this vid my bivvy is quite far away from the bank and the cable reaches with about a metre to spare. That's the furthest on any water that you'd set a bivvy up from your rods. 50m is a lot of cable that I don't think you'll need, but you may want the extra length and it costs a bit more. 25m and you'll be sweet with that mate.

Some of them I weighed, but the smaller ones I just slip back. Some of them are rough guesses of weight if they are full of energy and flapping about id rather not put them through the stress of being weighed. Thats why some of the carp will only have a shot of one side. I try to get them back asap. For me it's not always about the size mate.

Haha I laughed my head off at this mate. Like you said hauling mate, everything has come together, bait, tackle, mainline, hooks at the moment ive got it down to a tee and im so confident in what I'm doing which really helps. Confidence is sky high, but im pretty sure it's all going to come crashing down at some point, but as I'm on a roll I might go hit up a lake at Norton disney never fished there before and I'm desperate to give it a go. @LukejordanGanjaCarper it's katran crypton mate. Epic line mate. You can get a torch with it that illuminates the line so you can see which direction it's going in. Super strong and super abrasion resistant.

@anglingpassion5039 sometimes I do mate. Depends on the situation. On weedy lakes like this one...... no, but clear bottom lakes or margin fishing then I do sometimes.

I love em mate. Always have a hook sharpener handy just incase, but its the pattern that does it for me. Really good hook hold once it's in.

I thought the 20mm would keep the bream away aswell but that wasn't the case 😂. The rig is mustard buddy. I'll probably be on another overnighter between work this week so hopefully I'll get another on the bank. Looking forward to getting back down the river, 3 nights and 3 carp, just didn't want to push my luck on there so gave it a rest for a week or 2. Tight lines mate

Thank you mate, I have made it look easy it is an absolute dream start.... it just all went right. Luck was on my side the timing and everything. If I had attempted this at any other time the results would probably have been different. Just was meant to be I suppose 😂. Keep having a go at the river mate, try a different spot and keep a bit of bait going in every 2 days and fish it after 2 weeks. I've bumped into a couple of sketchy looking people but to be fair they have actually been alright and havnt seen them again. Good luck mate, don't give up, just try to find a more secluded spot and keep the bait going in. Also to avoid the bream get yourself some 20mm boilies bait up with them and also use them on the hook. The first carp I had out the river was a small common around 9lb and it took a 20mm boilie!!!! So don't worry about the bait being too big. Tight lines

Im hoping a bigger gem turns up soon, I think 3 fish out of 3 nights is good enough for me for now I don't want to push my luck, but the fishing has been kind to me so next weekend I'm taking on an epic challenge.... an 8 acre lake completely forgotten about really snaggy around the margins depths from a foot in the margin down to about 14 feet. Crystal clear aswell. Ive been baiting it up down a snaggy tree line for the past few weeks. Havnt seen anything yet but it looks super carpy and I cant resist it anymore. If I do get one it will be out of this world. I was going to do last weekend on it but due to an ear infection i couldnt get out. Tight lines mate.

Cheers mate, there's a sign further down the stretch saying day tickets available on the bank, but I never saw anyone so didn't have to pay. Get out there and find a spot that looks carpy get a bit of bait in for a few days then get the rods in....... I hope you bag one mate, I didnt have the highest of hopes going into this but now I'm 100% confident in this stretch and can't wait to get back down there.

100% faith in what your doing really helps and I struggle to move away from what rig I use as Im so successful using it. Confidence is key. I've got one more session on this place next weekend before my ticket runs out and I go on the hunt for river carp. I'll still do the occasional session on here as a guest but my hunger for new adventure and river carp is pulling me in. The river lea and the Thames are where I'll be headed, aswell as a few new day tickets along the way. Appreciate you mate. Have a good one and good luck.

Biggest in there now is 46lb 7oz mate. It actually came out today. There are a few tickets available mate, go down there's a number on the gate. Give the owner a call. There's about 3 x 40s and 40 + 30s. It's an incredible place now.

Holy moly! That is insane! I don't have the time to sit up there 24/7/365 to justify that cost! Yet another nice local venue well out of reach , I would have jiggled things if it was around £300 - £350 but for just 1 lake ! The only other option is £120 to try my luck at catching "Apples" from November onwards, Good luck, hope U snare all the big ones up there 👍

@steveneveritt4871 I'm nearly there, I've had a lot of fish out of there, but still a good few left. It is expensive but the stock is insane. Its a completely different place then it used to be. I'll be having a go for apples next season I think. Its been on the list for a while so It's gotta be done. Give it a go mate I hope you get it.
