Lonely Fight by Mk.gee - Great American Music Hall - 04/27/24
Michael Gordon accompanied by Andrew Aged and Zack Sekoff played to a sold out crowd at the Great American Hall in San Francisco, California. The trifecta gave a powerful performance at the traditional theatre with untraditional lighting and experimental sounds. I recorded this with the intention of coming back to it to remember the greatest night of my life. Watching the greatest of our generation and my hero Andrew Aged. The Mage has done it again in San Francisco. Again we waited patiently. This time to a more thunderous roar. The crowd shouted Alesis and the halls rang with magic It was a blessing being able to play the mages guitar. I would die. Did the guitar feel normal as far as pitch bend action? Or was it super loose?
@@don.alanis I actually do remember the strings being some what loose. I didn’t go hard on it and I was able to bend super easily

For the life of me I can’t remember too much. But the strings weren’t gargantuan by any means. They were thicker than normal

I really love this music it’s fresh and unique. I heard about him from Eric Clapton interview in which he mentioned that he was his favorite contemporary music artist. I hear a bit of Wilco influence from the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot period along with his own creative work. I think the band is fantastic.

They weren’t nylon. But they were pretty thick!!

I'm going to his show in Durham next week. I'm a little older at 44 but he's insanely talented. I get early Prince vibes with him and it's so original. This and Tigers Blood from Waxahatchee are the best albums this year so far.

@@GoAndLive It was insane. Hard to describe it in a sentence but it was intimate and real. Those two things have been missing in my world and the shows I've seen in the last 10 years. I was also like a grandpa to those kids there lol.
Alexis was the encore and it was mind blowing. Walked out like I had really witnessed something special.

As a guitar player, thank you for this. Always helpful to see what wizardry he’s doing with that guitar lol. I was situated right in the middle of the crowd, got a perfect balanced sound. The man just might be 1 of 1.
