Hi, glad you like the video. The secret is getting up early. Most of the footage was shot at sunrise. The tour busses only arrive later in the day. I shot the video over 3 days and made sure I selected one of the best spots for each morning. The shots of the Twelve Apostles required careful shooting as I had circa 50 photographers all around me. So going early is not even a guarantee. Check out the lighthouse at Port Fairy. It is a bit of a drive but worth it.

Thank you! I was very pleased with this video. The drone shots came together nicely. At times composing the soundtracks can require multiple attempts. For this composition, I turned it around in under two hours and it matched the footage perfectly.

Hi Mike. Just a Neutral profile. But I recorded it out to an Atomos Ninja V at a 422 10 bit. Then worked my magic in Davinci Resolve. The challenge was matching the footage from the Mavic 2 Pro and the GH5. Check out my Iceland video...:)

Not all the footage was shot with the Ronin S. I use my Mavic 2 Pro extensively to film. Many of the dolly shots are with the Mavic. Set it to tripod mode and fly really slowly. Check out my Iceland video for some great examples of how I use this technique. Glad you liked the video.

Nope! Just natural colour profile. I always shoot in Golden Hour to ensure that the lighting conditions are softer. When it is too dark or the sun is up, I simply go home. It takes effort always getting up early to catch the light, but I have less challenges with fighting with dynamic range! I recently got the Atomos Ninja V so I will be experimenting with flatter profiles. It is all such a learning curve!

Thank you for the positive comments. The video is created in 4k. I set the output cropping in Davinci Resolve to 2.35 Aspect Ratio and move the clips up and down to frame them correctly. It is then rendered as a 4K file using Apple ProRes. And here is the trick: I then export it using Apple Compressor. Here I set the format to H.264 and Compressor has a cropping feature. Simply select Panavision (2.35 aspect ratio). You are left with a beautiful wide-screen video without the black bars. Many on UA-cam still add the black bars as a PNG overlay, which results in the bars being baked into the clip. With my method, the videos render perfectly on ultra-wide screens. Remember to set the data rate for Web streaming if you are uploading to UA-cam. Hope this helps.

The entire coastline in Western Australia is spectacular. Margaret River is amazing is you like wine. There are beautiful spots around Albany and Denmark as well. So grab a car and just drive. You will discover many beautiful places.

Hi Sebastian. I had a look at some of your content. You have a very natural demeanour on camera, which is a good start. There are a number of things that you could to to improve your videos. The main pointers would be: Focus on improving your composition of each shot. Try to shoot a in golden hour, where the light is more pleasing or use a ND filter. Make a point of learning colour grading. I never post a single video without doing a base grade and then applying a LUT or creating a custom look for the video. You can also improve your titles, and there are many plugins that you can use without the need to learn After Effects. You are on the right track...Just keep shooting!

Thank you. The soundtracks for my video normally take hours to compose. This track came together in under an hour! Selecting/composing the right soundtrack is critical for the success of a video. PixelFilm Studios. They have several title packs. No need to mess around with After Effects keyframes. All the parameters can be adjusted directly in FCP X. The end titles were however created in AE.

It has its place. As a simple run and gun device you can get decent enough results. HOWEVER...If you are serious about your videos then the lack of depth of field and the dynamic range are major drawbacks. For the price and what it does, it is a technological marvel. It cannot replace proper video gear. I am editing my latest video shot on the GH5, with the Sigma 18-35 and the Mavic 2 Pro. The quality difference is chalk and cheese. Check it out when I release it in a few days. You can then see the massive difference. All this being said, in environments like Whistler it is simply not practical dragging around expensive gear the Osmo Pockets perfect! Hope this answers your question?
