They have made it so much better this year, batching is no longer a problem, and your not stopping or seeing anyone else in the maze

Least you got on a couple of rides. We queue for 45 min for one and it broke just as we got to the front of the queue 😢. So we went home. It was a goo run though (I got there just before it started).
We've had that happen a few times it's really unfortunate when it does. Glad you enjoyed the run though it's a tough course lol
I woke up at 5am, got to the park 2 hours before the race. No que to get in and no traffic. Enjoyed the atmosphere before the race and the warm up. Ran the race went on all the rides as they opened 🤷🏻♂️ Took the advice of runthrough who organised it and arrived early and had a great day. Maybe next year just be more organised and you’ll have a better experience.
Something went terribly wrong for the 10k. Have a look at the 10k post on Alton Towers Run on Facebook. I did it the year before and it was smooth sailing. I believe the half marathon went ok without a hiccup but the majority of people weren't happy with the 10k organisation. Glad you had a good day though 👍
