Going over my mudboss and letting y’all know what customization I did to it and some realism I added to it... if you are racing on a track check guidelines before you do what I did to the car

TRX4 SPORT CRAWL

Entirely stock trx4 sport. Had a fun day. Figured I’d shoot a little vid to post
I heard the traxxas rustler (which i own) shares a lot of parts with the slash...what parts do i need to turn my rustler into a mudd boss?
Keep bringing new content and I’ll subscribe👍
Hey bud did you put the shock limiter in front shocks if so how long are they . I am new to mudboss racing trying to set my car up.
If you have a hard time building the shocks your a rookie
My first build and it was so easy . Manual was simple and easy to follow. Anyone with the ability to read instructions should have no problem with this kit
Definitely was easier than I expected. Trying to make out a manual at 9 at night after working 10 hours a day makes it a little more challenging 😂
you build for performance and choose that to mount that bumper that way, thats worst than the stock bumper. the ride height is too high, thats not a performance build!
Works good enough for me. The truck does everything I want it to do
the 35T motor is not recommeneded for the TRX4, that is too weak and does not have any punch. a better motor would be a 13T Holmes Hobby 550 Sport. that cheap savox servo wont last, it is also too weak... the savox 1210 is the better option. the trx4 is a very heavy rig and has a high center of gravity, for crawling you need to use a smaller battery pack and lower the ride height, best is to get rid of anything that adds unecessary weight
It’s my first truck. Just built it to be a tank. It does the job fine and I have a lot of fun with it. There’s definitely a decent bit of power to the motor
What's funny is your blaming the builders kit for flaws you clearly caused by not knowing what your doing. You should have done the research before buying the Builders kit, Harley Designs and SBG channels clearly know what they are talking about and did an indepth review of this kit. The SCX10.2 is a builders platform, it comes with everything included to get you started. The target market are custom builders who dont want to spent $400 on a kit with a lot of parts they wont be using. Also, the Builders kit was never meant to house the HW Fusion motor, it was released more than a year before Fusion was available, you should have used a 540 can motor and never really had to do that fugly mod to the battery tray. The stock plastic shocks are not the best but they do work properly, it is great for saving weight during crawling competitions.
I honestly never planned on running that expensive of a motor in it in the first place. My dad got me the motor for Christmas and I ended up making it work. The shock replacement was on me because I never planned on using those shocks. A good friend of mine has the trail honcho 2 and I’ve cruised it around enough to know that I didn’t really prefer the shocks that came with them and I kinda wanted to go all out with this kit
Any updates on the build I’m excited to see
Quite a few. Planning on getting back into recording here soon. I’ve done a lot to the truck. Also went with some risks on Amazon that didn’t pay off. Thanks for watching!
