Replay; didn’t know this was coming - sorry I missed it Alice but what a SUPER time to watch. Thanks to all the amazing musicians. Grateful for these streams. Will hopefully make it Live to the next stream!!! ☮️☮️☮️
Nice job Charlie Steen
I love SOME Greg Brown. The Poet Game and Dream Cafe in the early 90s represent the real maturation and cohesiveness of his lyrical prowess and the contributions of his slide guitar/ Dobro player can’t be underestimated and add to the drive and interest of his acoustic finger style prowess and that was the eta many people fell in love with the quality of his voice and the down home sincerity of his lyrics and his insights and wisdom subtlety delivered, mostly. Slant 6 Mind is a standout a couple years later, maybe 96 when B. Dylan’s Time Out of Mind came out. I saw Greg w my 5 year old daughter in church basements, etc. Lovely man. Represents a somewhat nostalgic view of an America long gone. Nothing bad to say about a man like him, but his discography is spotty at best. Ur better off finding the songs or 4 lps that do it for you and sticking with them, imho. If you live it all, please ignore my opinion. Check ‘em all out, there’s usually at least one track I dig. it the 3lps i mentioned are the trilogy for me.. and i’ve gotta hear Covenant again n his more recent stuff. But it’s not the voice i that grabbed me back then. No judgement, time marches on. He was/ is an influence to many- he travelled his own path from the start, following his own unique muse. God bless. Respect.
Fantastic & helpful information for all conferences! Thanks for posting this.
You talked me into it! (Charlie, you should've sold real estate...you'd be a wealthy man)

As a person with a disability, I appreciate that this topic was addressed. I hope this conversation continues over time.

Great info, just would like to see those links in chat.....
Hey Folk Alliance! Thank you for having me speak today - it was a pleasure. Looking forward to upcoming tech talks 🎶
Thank you for putting this up, I couldn’t attend live today!
thanks for this FARM! I heard about these videos at FAI this year (2021). they're really really helpful.
This is a very helpful video, thank you! I love the way you pointed out how to get to on Facebook to the "past live videos". I can't wait to see what I was in my past lives!
Thank you to Jim, Annie and FARM for doing this! OBS and the ATEM have the ability to automatically switch scenes. In OBS there is an Advanced Scene Switcher plug-in you can download. You can set the length of time for each camera and have them switch in a loop. You can also use a footswitch or a keyboard hotkey to interrupt the loop. There is also a random setting which works if you have more than 2 cameras which will also make it look like there is someone else doing the switching. The footswitch way is the more precise method, but the auto thing works if you can't manage the switching (like me) while you are playing. I hope this helps! JG
Great song for John Prine - thanks.
Brandon, you are an amazing teacher. Thank you!!
At 13:19 in the video setting up Facebook there is a box explaining "Persistent Stream Key" which you have checked. That means you don't need to copy the stream key every time. Just FYI to folks who watch this.
Thank you. I'm here! C.C.
You are a very gifted instructor, Ms. B. Just saw this today. Thank you for assuming no fund of knowledge in this area! This was great.
Fan since 85. Thank you Gregg. Ring around the moon. Long long time til day....
Greg Brown is maybe the greatest of all time. Such deep truths in every song.
I have found that 5mbps is the absolute bare minimum for live streaming. And I have seen streams that suffer at that speed (choppy video or poor audio.). There is NO "wiggle room" at that low a speed; if there's a dip in the network in your area during your stream, you could possibly lose connectivity. I wouldn't attempt a live stream with less than a consistent 10mbps upload speed. And NO wireless connections, as said in the video. Every device must be connected with CAT6 or better ethernet cable.
This is super interesting. Thanks for sharing all this. I am using Ecamm to Live Stream. They are also building a way to multi stream directly from their program. Lots of cool features to explore in Ecamm. This has been a most interesting time exploring new ways to connect.
Beautiful montage/recap of a great conference. Well done!
Keep up the great work!! Do you know the site followsm(.)com?! You could use it to promote your videos!!
Greg is a treasure.....thise first two albums he sort of brushed off as not sure what they were about.....they are fantastic as with all his music.....this world needs way more Greg Browns.....
Thanks to whomever at FARM for making this video! And thanks to Hacklebarney too, for creating Greg out of the soil there.
anyone know how to write to Greg? It looks like red house records is in Nashville, not St. paul, so I assume that address is not active
Yes, it looks like their address is now in Nashville. Write him there, and I would think he'll get it.
Beautiful! I'm honored to have been a part of this. Nicely done, Charlie and Joe!
..indelible acoustic bliss...love you Greg....
