Amazing
I'm so glad you think so! I found it pretty incredible, and I highly recommend a visit if you ever get the chance.
Lots of questionable info
No not really. I’ve been studying cathedrals for decades. Most of this is pretty well established and where a story remains speculative or mythical, I mention that in the video.
Fantastic stuff. Thank you.
Really glad you like it! 😁
#7. the west window is NOT 42' in diameter, it is 32', and is the oldest of the 3 rose windows.
Thanks for the clarification!
Excellent photos and facts. I didn't know any of them.
Notre Dame is really a treasure trove of interesting trivia!
Well done!
Thank you! 😊
I have shared it on X for you. You do some great work. Please keep going.
Thanks for the share! And I’m so glad you are enjoying the channel.
I wonder if the knight order still exists as a charitable institution or an honorary title.
I here by dub the name of this hypothetical Roman soldier “Naughtius Maximus.”
People of different faiths getting along? Some would say that’s impossible but for most people that’s just business as usual.
Yeah, go figure, LOL!
This is quite the throwback. I love the aesthetic but wouldn’t care to be seated below the chandelier.
The combination of the music and scenery is very soothing. Definitely something I needed right now. Thanks.
I'm glad it helped you!
Well the Count of Monte Christo was inspired by an actual court case so it doesn’t seem that far fetched.
Beautiful, God bless ☦️❤️🩹
Thank you! May God bless you as well.
I only found out recently that most orthodox sermons are primarily sung. There might be a long form video topic for you. Compare and contrast variously religions who’s services are mainly musical. (Greek orthodox vs Hindi for example).
Perhaps. I'd have to get permission from people to record some of the singing/chanting, though.
This kind of art needs to be more common.
Well you certainly won't hear me arguing! LOL
Always love your work, my dear friend!! Yes, It's me!
I'm so glad you like it!
BEAUTIFUL
It’s gorgeous, isn’t it?!
As an ordinance worker in the Temple most all of those with whom I spoke never really understood the Provo Temple. It's not a cake or cupcake. The fountains in front if studied give away some and the ordinances inside complete it. It's a representation of all the House of the Lord is. The Second floor is the water container, the spire raises and spills out water, doing this 3 times to the feet of Moroni. In short it's The Fountain of Living Water. More profound than a cupcake.
The Latter Day Saints Religious Business Moguls was not thinking of collective memories of the members or the community. They are think8ng of the Business Branding. Good luck to your business enterprise.
Back when merit mattered.
So true!
This is great. So informative. I need to put St. Patrick's on my visit list with the MET and Central Park when I am in NYC.
Are you going to NYC soon?! When? And yes, this is an absolute MUST! You will love it!
Love your work; thanks for sharing the beauty in our world!❤️🙏🏻
Definitely needed this right now.
I'm so glad it could uplift you!
I agree. I love the unique temple design of the past Provo Temple. And I think it is a waste of tithing funds to make it into a generic redesign that looks like so many other temples already.
I wouldn't call it a "waste of funds," especially because the temple itself was literally falling apart at its foundations. It HAS to be torn down and rebuilt. Period. It's just that simple. It would cost more money to try and keep it up. Now yes, I would prefer a more unique design, but the new one is genuinely more classic and less obviously dated than the old one. Objectively, it has a better aesthetic, even if it really deserves to not just be a cookie-cutter temple. Most people who have an attachment to the design have a personal connection to the temple itself. For others, it is something of an eyesore. There's pros and cons to the new design, I'm just eager for more detail and beauty in our temples in general.
Love all your work!!!
Awww, thank you so much!
It’s not uncommon for artists of all types to draw inspiration from the previous works of those who came before.
Nope, not uncommon at all.
We need to build with more color.
This is what I’m screaming! 😂
It's where I got my endowment at, I never gave much thought about its design. but I believe it thru revaluation it's being redesigned.
This music is very relaxing.
I needed this right now. Thanks.
I think it'a beautiful and love its uniqueness. Only needs an extensive interior renovation in my opinion. To much money to tear down snd rebuild.
Untrue, actually. It will cost LESS money in this case to tear down and rebuild. The foundation itself is suffering, this temple was not particularly well made, and not designed for real long-term stability. It was made based on a fashion of the time, without regard to actual longevity. It would in fact cost MORE to fix all the problems it has while attempting to maintain its structure. They do know what they're doing.
I was at the groundbreaking, watched the Temple being built, lived just up the street and have enjoyed many years of attending the Provo Temple. With that said…, I am delighted it is getting a new design and name….now let’s get the Provo City Center renamed to what it should have been called from the beginning.
What do you think it should have been called from the beginning? Just the Provo Temple?
@@1000HolyPlaces Provo Tabernacle Temple.
United Methodist Churches have at the least 3,886 Boy Scouts Child Sex Abuse Survivors that are Claimants in the @BoyScouts $2.46 Billion Bankruptcy… the most Claimants than any other Charter organization!
At the least, there are 761 Presbyterian @boyscouts Charters (churches, schools, etc) with at the least one Boy Scouts Child Sex Abuse Survivor Claims in their $2.46 Billion bankruptcy settlement!
The Catholic Church has at the least 3,213 Boy Scouts Child Sex Abuse Survivors that are Claimants in the @BoyScouts $2.46 Billion Bankruptcy!
Baptist Churches have at the least 3,274 Boy Scouts Child Sex Abuse Survivors that are Claimants in the @BoyScouts $2.46 Billion Bankruptcy!
The Mormon Church has at the least 2,481 Boy Scouts Child Sex Abuse Survivors that are Claimants in the @BoyScouts $2.46 Billion Bankruptcy!
They screwed up the Provo temple when some 'Einstein' painted the gold spire white, then plopped Moroni on top. Now this poor temple is going to end up looking like most of the new things. I just hope they don't reconstruct the Cardston temple.
Fascinating story. Thank you for sharing! It reminds me of a Church in Portomarín, Spain that was moved up a hill to get it out of the way of the rising river that had been dammed. They numbered all the stones and you can see them in their current state with numbers still on them. Seems like a TON of work.
Oh interesting! I had not heard of that one, cool!
My biggest take away. Never under estimate what rich people are willing to spend money on.
At least this one was actually worth it. If it was falling into disrepair and being used as a stable instead of a house of God, then at least a person spent his money on salvaging it and returning it to its original purpose. Hard to think of something more worthy of spending lots of money on.
How exactly did Twain satirize the situation I wonder.
I believe he joked about different types of people being made into pastors so that the church could have a rector? I have not actually read it.
I could play this on repeat for the soothing quality of the music alone.
Isn't the music pretty?!
Does anyone understand what holyness is that we are not worthy and fall short of the grace of god to put ourselves at the same level of god.
Its probably a space ship that's literally redo active
No I believe God would never leave these on earth for man to worship their own God. It’s not on earth 😮
Can we have a look? "Of course not! You are English types."
"hey guy I have this tablets from god" Really? Wow can I see them? "Erm no, they are in this box and if anyone touches them you will die" Ah yes that's makes sense and isn't suspicious at all lol
Betcha it is
