Pedal Commander Review: Should you BUY one?
Переглядів 35221 день тому
I finally caved in and purchased a Pedal Commander. A Pedal Commander is a device that alters the sensitivity of the throttle, therefore decreasing or even increasing throttle lag. It doesn't void warranty, and in terms of performance mods (if you can call it that), its relatively inexpensive. The purpose of this video is to give you a real and honest opinion on this product so you can decide i...

I need your help! I’m on the fence between this car and a 2024 Highlander hybrid. I haven’t driven the Highlander yet. I am looking for equivalent cabin comfort. Most mostly with Road noise. Is there a Highlander 2024 hybrid that might be equivalent?
Thanks; please do a video on Crown Signia as well
Crown Signia is done for 2025! Go to my Toyota playlist and you’ll find it. Thank you for watching!
Is this price in US dollars ?
Yes
Do you know about new generation CX-50 and CX-70 comes to US and Canada ?
I don’t typically come across Canadian info but I bet a quick Google search couple help. Thank you for watching!
Pretty sure that it's a good car but wow it's ugly.
Maybe youre looking to yourself.
To each their own. Thank you for watching!
Soap and warm water ( felt safer) got the residue off. Just a little elbow grease required! 💪 Administered some wax afterwards.
Good to know you had success with that. Thank you for watching!
Looks like people will go toward the CR-V Touring Hybrid.
Definitely a solid option. Thank you for watching!
I have a 2018 Kia Sportage AWD LX with the 2.4L GDI engine purchased used at 29K miles four years ago. I've done the knock sensor harness and software recall, regular oil changes with Mobile 1 Full Synthetic and only use premium brand 93 octane fuel from Shell which I prefer, or BP. My mechanic warned me when I brought the car to him that the engine would burn oil, and it did at a rate of one quart in between 3-4K mile oil changes. I' now up to 96K miles and have been going through 2 to 2.5 quarts of oil in between changes. I did have the professional GDI cleaning done by my mechanic which I highly recommend for it's improved my fuel economy 5-6 mpg. I'm now just had Valvoline's Restore & Protect oil put into the engine and after two weeks am noticing a slight improvement with noise and vibration. I'll be documenting my experience with this product if you're interested: kiasportageforums.com/threads/2-4l-gdi-engine-burning-excessive-oil-is-valvoline-restore-protect-the-answer.427/
Got a new 23 SXT a couple months ago. Beautiful car granite color. Very happy with the performance and can’t wait to see how the AWD does in Illinois winters.
Congrats, enjoy it! Thank you for watching!
So I’m torn between the XLE Crown Signia or the Highlander hybrid Limited🤷🏽♀️ I’m coming out of driving Toyota vans for the last 17 years. I have teenagers and dogs. I have fallen in love with the ride and quietness of the Crown Signia and the Venza, but I thought I would want a Toyota RAV when I was done having vans. !!! After driving the RAV I don’t care for it, it is too too loud! Is there anything that you can say to persuade me on how to choose between these two vehicles?
I think both are great options. In a couple days I will have the Highlander and Highlander hybrid videos releasing for 2025. I’d say let the decision come down to whichever MSRP is best for you with the features you want. Highlander will give you more space.
Would you be willing to share your spreadsheet?
Feel free to screenshot it! Thank you for watching!
Canada gets the heated steering wheel on all trims I believe
Thank you for watching!
I have a question. I rented this vehicle, I don’t recall what trim it was, and the wind noise was horrible! I felt like a window was cracked open! What trim level can I get that? Does not have this kind of noise? Does it exist? I’m on the fence between getting one of these or the crown Signia The Crown Signia is super quiet! This is the major reason why I would choose that over a highlander But I am hoping that maybe you know something I don’t know Are all Trent trims created equal when it comes to sound road noise, wind noise ?
Maybe roof rails made some noise? Or a sunroof was vented? Perhaps just a particularly windy day? I wouldn’t suspect a major difference in the two models.
@ thank you so much for the quick reply
Thank you soooo much for the easy and clear info
Timing belt may be an issue?
I haven’t heard this but doesn’t mean it’s not true. Thank you for watching!
I miss carburetors.
Thank you for watching!
I have the Z71 at $50,000 and I agree they are $10,000 overpriced for each trim. The interior materials are very cheap plastic. Really bad. The option package for the Z71 is very lacking. I got the Z71 because I do need light off road capability. I travel a lot of rutted dirt and gravel roads. $40K for the Z71 would be perfect.
I’m glad you agree as an owner. Frustrating though! Thank you for watching!
I have an 07 Charger V6. Had it for almost 10 years. Love it more than anything ❤
Awesome ride! Thank you for watching!
Thank you my Brother! I appreciate your accurate and informative details!
I appreciate you! Thank you for watching!
I love the 2025 Traverse, ordered one and it took 8 weeks for GM to acknowledge they got my order, now I wait another 8 to 12 weeks for manufacturing and delivery. And I agree with you anyone who spends extra money, 5K plus for each upgrade of plastic crap is nuts... my opinion, but that's crazy. Something you should focus on is that the 2024 Traverse came with 2 years of OnStar capabilities while the 2025 come with 8 years of OnStar... that's who upgrades all the computers... at $50.00 a month, that's an additional $3,600 on the 2 years of OnStar on the 2024. The 2025 model they throw in the towing package now, but removed other features, the one I need the most is the 110 v power outlet.... and a few safety items.. buyer beware there is no free lunch. Final position is if you compare the basic Traverse to anything out there on the market the Traverse wins hands down...... if you want the higher trims.... it looses hands down. Ted
Nice analysis! Thank you for watching!
I'm getting one in all black since it's bigger than a hilander n both have turbos this is the only fully loaded base model hope fully last
Congrats! Thank you for watching!
I'd sure like to see a video of what this exhaust sounds like from the driver's seat, in different situations. Too many vids of this type focus on what it sounds like outside the vehicle.
I’ll see what I can do!
Thanks. I mostly care about what I hear as a driver...hiway cruise, full throttle, idle, normal acceleration, that sort of DD stuff.
I just got a 2025 1lt. Seems like it has a lot of cabin noise. I traded an Impala LTZ... That car spoiled me. Anyone else notice the noise?
Thank you for watching!
As for me, the OEM Sport button is enough.
I tried OEM sport with pedal commander sport and it was a lot of fun.
OEM Sport also changes transmission programming...does the PC do that, if run in Sport + mode w/o the OEM Sport enabled?
@ no change to the transmission since there is no alteration to the computer. The ECU doesn’t know anything has changed.
Very helpful, thanks.
Thank you for watching!
I just got a 2025 RS. Sticker was 28250 with the equipped options. They gave me 4000 off sticker. Got it for 24250. Way cheaper than even the base accord, k5 or camry.
Wow that’s a great deal! Congrats. Thank you for watching!
People lust after those bizzare looking Lambos and Ferrari but I lust after this Dodge challenger, the new gen Challenger made in 2008 looks way cooler then the original and it looks the best in the red colour ❤❤.
Best side profile ever! Thank you for watching!
@@Benscarreviews ...the beauty of this baby is there in its massive size, it's around 16 feet long and around 6.5 feet wide that gives it the KING OF THE ROAD vibes, get it fitted with those silver 20 inch wheels from the srt8 model, get the hood stripes done and it will look even hotter, it also looks way sexier then the mustang and the camero as well❤️❤️. The only issue with the challenger is it's massive weight and nothing else, Congratulations for having this beauty my frnd.
Toyota dropped the ball on these configurations IMO. I want 8 seats and AWD. If they offered 8 across the board I’m sure they’d sell more.
Can’t argue with that! Thank you for watching!
The front bumper kind of looks like a cheap version from of the front bumpers of Lexus sedans
I can see the resemblance! Thanks for the continued support!
Hi there. How safe is the Goo Gone for paint? I’m trying to remove a hood stripe from my car and scared I’m going to screw up my paint.
Yes, it is safe. But probably like other products similar, it’s best not to leave it on for a substantial amount of time. Thank you for watching!
I really appreciate the chart in the beginning of the trim levels and cost. Helps me so much . Thank you
So happy to hear it helped! Thank you for watching!
Mopar or no car.... any suggestions on a replacement turn signal? like a simple switch one can attach to the steering wheel?
I haven’t seen a product like that but I’ve also never looked for one. It may exist! Thank you for watching!
Is it true that the base model has no place for a GPS? Every other model (and my 4 year old CX-3 have and SD-card slot to insert the GPS SD card. The base CX-3 2.5S does not seem to have that. Is that actually true?
By GPS you mean your own device to mount on?
Goof Off, same as Goo Gone. ALWAYS test on hidden area.
Good tip!
Less and less options to have a new car manual transmission in 2025. Mazda 3 Hatch is one that does. 191hp. For a daily driver. Not bad.
Thank you for watching!
I wish modern cars (Some) would stick to the speedometer on the right. I can get used to them but I still prefer it on the right.
Definitely the way it should be.
Have a 2014 Santa Fe 97k with the GDI... What a POS... 10 qrts per 1000 burned.. Contacted Dealership.. They changed the oil and said bring it back after 1000 mi....2 and 1/2 weeks later and 450 miles no oil on the dipstick. Back to dealership. They did a internal engine cleaning then had me pick it up and told me to bring it back at the 1000 mi .. Told me it would be better to drive it with low oil in the hopes of blowing it up...Left with no OIL on the stick.... I swear if that thing blows and I am injured I will own that dealership....Dont buy Hyundai , PERIOD.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
2025 ?
Correct. Thank you for watching!
Great breakdown & explanation of all the trims! FX trim looks sweet!
Thanks John! Great option for a lot of people.
Does it have a power seat?
In all but the base trim, yes. Thank you for watching!
Great video man. Concise and super easy to follow. Any idea if the LT gets a heated steering wheel with any package? Great job👊
Appreciate the support! The Comfort Package adds in a heated steering wheel, as well as tons of other features. It’s a $2,200 package. Thank you for watching!
@Benscarreviews awesome!! Thanks! Do you know what package puts the TVs on the back of the front headrests for the rear passengers?
Thank you 🙏🏽
Thank you for watching!
maintenance maintenance maintenance
key maintenance change your oil 5k or 6 months run the correct gas octane, change spark plugs.
Port injection spray gas on the back of the valves unlike gdi sprays gas directly on to the top of the piston
Glad to see another affordable option for American car buyers! Sorely needed in this sea of huge expensive SUVs and trucks!
You’re absolutely right! I saw my first one in the wild today.
Loved this review!
Appreciate the support as always, John!
V6 Challenger owner here. 2019 sxt blackout as well. There are so many mods u can do to ur car it's insane..... But the absolute best $299 I ever spent on my Challenger, it's with out a doubt a little plug n play device called a PEDAL COMMANDER.... yes there are other brands that are cheaper but they're just that.... Cheaper! If you think sport mode is cool, try putting sport plus mode along with the cars sport mode n you'll get triple the acceleration. Just look up those who have installed one in their car and once you see their reaction, you can't get the item fast enough. Get one bro. It'll change your life hands down. I use mine everyday.... Never turn it off. Makes ur v6 feel n act like a true v8. Ur welcome.... Thank me later
I’ve thought about it! I’ll look more into it. Appreciate you sharing the experience. Thank you for watching!
MSRP on the turbo is $28,090
Appreciate you adding that in. I hadn’t seen a number from Hyundai yet. Thank you for watching!
Agreed. Over-priced, underwhelming and heavy. Sheesh. Rugged and reliable. SSDD. Yawn...
I wish they made it a bit more realistic for prices and I think that would help a lot. Thank you for watching!
2025 ?
