Northern Ireland, the forgotten war
I had the greatest pleasure in doing my training with John (9 months IJLB ) John already in his Bn. Joseph at Glencourse Barracks Penicuik Jan,Feb, and March 1971. I joined the Royal Scots at Tidworth, Joseph, his Bn in Belfast . Never ever forgot them. I am now 70 years young, always think WHAT IF?. I went to the province on my 18th birthday. Londonderry Drumahoe Factory. 🏴🏴🏴✝️✝️✝️🫡🫡🫡. GENERAL SALUTE PRESENT ARMS. LWF WE WILL REMEMBER.
We shall remember them (Third Battalion the Queens Regiment- 1969 - 1978) 2418xxxx ☮️
My dad was in from 69 - 75 he knew the 3 Scottish boys very well je used to tell me story's about them
AMAZING!! My Dad was a fusilier from 85-91, he told me the story of the 3 scottish soldiers, what a tribute!
Excellent video and commeration of the three Fusiliers, I particularly liked the physical monument! 👍🏼 I like many who served in NI, I lost 4 comrades and friends, Cpl Matt Maddocks, Rfn Danny Holland, Nick Malakos and Tony Rapley may they and all the Op Banner fallen RIP they are not forgotten, nor is the political betrayal as that sits deep! Thank you for making and sharing this video! 🙏🏼
i remerber that day
Indeed 😔 We were stationed at the Oxford street bus station and North Belfast was our mobile patrolled area. We paid our respects each time we passed this lonely road R.I.P. Lad’s- never forgotten 🌹 🌹🌹
Served in the late 70's. 24503511. Those lads were burned into our memories
3 working class Lads like many Young men died at the hands of the 'working class heroes' of PIRA - who slaughtered more Working class people and destroyed more Jobs than anyone else - They are not called Scum for Nothing - FGAU
Lest we forget xx
Just wish I had the chance to show him. How would have been one proud man. Thanks again
He died on boxing day at 65 years of age far to young but we are proud of him finding your video brought a taar to our eyes because he never forget himself an always spoke and told us the stories never left him
Very brave soldiers
