Clever bit of kit
Flails don't leave quite the same finish as fixed tooth but when you ( inevitably) hit something solid, at least it doesn't bugger the whole drum.... We used them mulching rail corridor, that looks like a lovely piece of kit, well priced too...
Agree with that. I need a set of knifes aswell if I'm cutting grass more. I'm quite impressed with the build speed quality tbh

A lot. So so many variables tbh it would be unfair as can get cheaper and more expensive dependant on your spec. Hard one to answer
I’ve had one of these for a couple years now, I’m very impressed how it’s stood up to the abuse I’ve given it, sorting sandstone walling stones and using it with a hyd thumb to shift golf course grass heaps at the end of the season 👌🏻
very nice backhoe loader. one thing that cat should have as standard is dual command so you can run the machine from the side of the workplace

6,500 isn't a lot of hours. If they're only lasting that many hours before needing to replace its not that good.

the 360 camera is complete useless.. to bad quality ..
One issue with the excavator is the canopy. Even tho it's a closed cab, when the sun is out and constantly hitting the canopy the ac cannot keep up. The insulation just above the head needs to be increased 2-3x for your head to not cook like a egg.
On the 85 or on the 080
@@csw671 on the 080-4. I really doubt it was mentioned to a developer by a tester, or looked at enough to see it being an issue. I would strongly recommend doing something about that thin fabric liner above the head, replacing it with something less suseptable by heat. I understand it's much "quieter" in the 085, heat transfer doesn't care about how closed something is. It just cares about the insulation.
@@csw671 also when a machine has a dpf Regen function to clean the exhaust, Kubota needs to make it so the operator cannot turn the machine off in dpf Regen mode to complete the cleaning cycle. Accidently I've shut it off once or twice without looking while it was in that cycle, this is very damaging to the machine and could be prevented if the operator cannot turn off the machine while in dpf Regen. I hope this makes sense, I love the 080-4 a lot. I've put in 3000 hours in about 2 years on one machine, it's so close to being a perfect top of the line construction excavator. The seat upgrade was necessary with every model of excavator in my opinion, seats are cheaper then spines.

Absolutely epic opening shot, and some great gopro placement! Do you have a tether for the action cams? Mine fell off and got run over by a 100t EC950F last week (Well, it fell between the cracks in the loose rock, didn't get turned into a pancake, still works.)

@@csw671 I'm thinking about getting a carbine hook and a nylon tether for it, see if that helps. Should at least give me peace of mind.
What's the vibration for? Is that for shaking loose sticky material, or for spreading gravel?
A decent function the "bucket shacker" yes gravel, Riddle bucket, landscaping rake, even milkshakes 👌
Stick steer and air conditioning, even on the smaller machines, are really brilliant features!
