Great video, Pete. Loved that drone shot of you arriving and subsequent sequences of you setting up - very cinematic. That tracker was incredible! My first ever Astro book (nearly 40 years old!) had a similar design in it - think it was called a “barn door” mount. That guy needs his own YT channel! So hard to compare Neowise with Tsuchinshan. In my mind, Neowise was a lot better, but we had much clearer skies and it was the event that got me into taking pictures rather than just observing, so there’s definitely rose-tinted spectacles there. Just wish I knew how to use a camera properly then!!

Hi, also use the Nighthawk blind infact on my 2nd one, just a suggestion for you on mounting the camera, as you are using your right eye to look through the viewfinder sit the camera so the arm of the gimbal is on the right side so not obstructing your left eye vision makes it a lot easier to look round the left side or even open your left eye while right one is at viewfinder.

It's amazing, one of my favorites but better years ago before the influx of tourists... I have however had a bad fall, but not from being unprepared, just unlucky. But being prepared first aid kits, proper clothing, emergency blankets etc saved me until the helicopter arrived. So being prepared will not stop a fall but being prepared for the worst will help you get through it :)

great video Pete and what a spectacular way to spend a morning - nothing better than being out looking for wildlife. Couldn't agree more about putting the effort in. I'll happily spend hours sat in a field waiting for things to turn up, after all its wildlife and does its own thing in its own time.
