@hwy929 that google drive maps.takserver.us is open for you to get maps from. Just down load and import the maps from there. When you say “create maps” what are you looking for? This video shows you how to set up atak and get maps to use. If you need to set up a tak server i have a video on that. Let me know if i can help you.

on your self marker you can get a radial menu and turn tracks but it does not call out your total current track length at the time. What your asking for though could be set in a requirement. Show current track distance and display current live track from the radial menu if im following what your asking for correcly. If you want your current track just click on the track history and scroll down it will show how long your current track is. What my suggestion will be is a press and hold on display current track in the radial menu will bring up the current track history. Whats interesting is this is available for other objects to search server just not your self marker from the radial menu,

Ok so go to the install.sh, its the one that is labeled RL8.9_tak5.1r40_install.sh. Open that up in a text editor. You can do a save as and rename it to the version you are using so for 5.2 it would now be RL8.9_tak5.2r16_install.sh then in the new version scroll down to where it says ++++INSTALL TAK SERVER+++++ you can ignore changing anything that has # in front of it or or echo. The line you want to change to match the name of the installer is sudo dnf install takserver-5.1-release40.noarch.rpm -y. You want to make sure that line matches the version you are installing. Then if you are using my commands to copy paste just edit them in the command line after pasting to match your version.

Im using Rocky8 as a server. I dont think it matters but if all your doing is this and or tak server just do a server and ssh in.

Going direct to mediamtx for support is your best bet. Why are u adding the url in the mediamtx yml? What section?

I think you have a 4core with at least 8gb ram your good. But ymmv you can try and if performance degrades move it to another machine or add resources

I take that back! it is working with a user name and password. I made the edit to the video and changed the tutorial on the website. I think that came from me testing with RTMP in ATAK not formatting correctly with a password. So to get this to work; use the RAW format, start fresh if you started with RTSP it wont let you change it. Start a new video alias, use raw, rtsp://username:password@ipaddress:8554/live/streamname

You can do all sorts of things with it. You can run FFMPEG with it. Go to the MediaMTX site and read all the particulars.

Trying to link up with either to learn more about the capabilities and how to use the system. Once I’m familiar with the system I can show and demonstrate to my department the benefits of ITAK / ATAK.

drag the rpm file to the atak folder. then sudo chmod + <filename> then hit return the ./<filename> to execute. That will update it. But as good resource is at www.mytecknet.com There is a section on TAK-SERVER update.

I had someone else reach out and they tried the Directions API instead of the Routing and it seems to be working. I think perhaps google changes something.

so if you go to mytecknet on the takserver deployment guide at the top there is a link to "managing users and groups" click on that, then role down to the soft certificate management, thats what you need for iTAK. This will create the user.p12 file you want, so if you name the user itak1, then in opt/tak/certs/files you will see that itak1.p12 file there. Then follow the guide on creating data packages. He has a part on itak. itak does not need the manifest file in its own folder, actually atak doesnt need anymore either. just zip up manifest, pref, truststrore and user.p12 and your good. Now i have to say, using LetsEncrypt and enrollment is way better than managing certs.
