Plastics are not completely air proof. A couple of years, yes, but not for long-term storage.

You could put the fountain in the middle then put some rocks around the perimeter and it would stay in the middle and give the birds a perch too. 😊

I've been feeding hummingbirds for years and never once heated up the water. All heating the water does is dissolve the sugar faster, but the time saved in waiting to dissolve the sugar is eclipsed by the time spent heating up the water. You would probably waste much much much more time by heating the water up. I've never timed it because I've never bothered to do it, but just imagining. There is absolutely no need for heating up the water and it is only a waste of time and electricity/gas (whatever powers your stove). Plus, if you are using room temperature water or at least not cold water from the fridge, the sugar dissolves fast anyway. You just need to stir for a few seconds, maybe 10 or 15 seconds or so, that's it. Just sayin'.

If you wash your fabrics, as you always should, the stains might come out. I think the blue floral satin would be georgeous as a top yolk and loose collar on a more vintage style dress.

Most plastics let in air and air is what makes the food go bad sometimes. Better to get glass jars. Glass does not let in air.

Mine didn’t come with tubes and my sunny area gets early evening shade so I’ll play around with it and see how it does. I’m going to try to center it with rocks too.

I used this machine for 2 years. I knocked it off the table and the timing was never the same and I could not fix it. There's nothing wrong with this machine for a beginner. It sewed well and I never had problems 😊

Why not use 2 of the same fabric (Terry cloth towel) for the body and then you can flip it when cleaning?
