I have not been there yet. I have read and heard that it is an awesome place with a lot of early history related to it. It was used as an overnight stay for snow skiers in years gone by . The effort it took to build the hut was interesting in itself. Glad you had the opportunity to visit it Thanks for your comment.

Excellent, I have two both are 2.4 liter petrol. One is the double cab 4x4 which is seen in all my videos. . The other is a single cab which is a 2004 and has 288000 km so far.No issues with either of them. Just I find the double cab very heavy on fuel compared to my single cab. @@localcarvideosmore6655 I get 5/6 km per litre depending on the driving conditions. Mine is the 2 4 petrol 4x4. I have the ""banana"" branch exhaust system . On the open road I get a little more. It has plenty power and is extremely reliable. I would not look at another vehicle brand equivalent As you will doubt find other makes with a far better fuel consumption but then you will be paying for repairs as I don't think (personally) there is another vehicle that can match the reliability as the Nissan . Basically drive conservatively and it will moderate in fuel.

Maybe the owner is a bit "" shell"" shocked given the name . L.O .L. The restaurant section was busy . I get what you are saying but some folk seemed to have enjoyed the setting. Thanks for your comment. Appreciated.👍

Hello Margaret, just some info . The Breede river is quite wide and yes "" tranquil"" during the summer months. It is one of the longest rivers in the Western Cape. It runs for just over 330 km from its source in the ""Romans river"" and to the ocean. Thanks for watching .

The rates vary depending on the size of the site as well as the location of it. If it is on the water's edge you will pay premium, away from the river( which is really not so far off ) is cheaper. The sites started at R400 per night (best to enquire for the latest rates). They have canoes and rafts on the water which you can use for free. Hi Sizwe, Thanks for watching . The only mod done to my Nissan is the air filter which is similar to a pancake air filter and then I have a free flow exhaust system with banana branches . ( Discovered this only afterwards as I bought it Pre owned) and wondered why it had plenty more power than my other one which is lwb 2.4. Hello Lynn, agree, not light on fuel. That is the only negative on the 2.4. I find driving without my canopy helps a little with the fuel consumption as there is less wind resistance, weight etc. I will still keep mine as i personally believe it's one of the most reliable pick ups able to go places and not breakdown leaving one isolated.

Hello Gareth, yes, it was a concern. I had preplanned an ""exit"" out of there if the situation arose. Also did some scouting before hand. I have seen vehicles with their bonnets etc submerged under water but I would not advise that due to all the electrical components running in the vehicle. Thanks for subscribing man.

@@karooeagle Should be easy now that most trains in South Africa has been forced to a standstill by barbaric vandalism. Did you know that the southern tunnel you shown in your video is actually 1,300 mm shorter than the twin northern tunnel? This longer tunnel has not been paved yet.

Excellent vehicle. Sad butSouth Africa Nissan is ending production of the NP 300 at end of 2021. It's been in production for the last 27 years.I have two a single cab with diff lock and the 4x4 Hardbody Off Road,,Double Cab that is in this video. Awesome vehicles.
