I love Grady Hendrix! I always recommend him to new readers. His books are easy reads but he writes really good characters, makes it hard to put down

I was so excited when you got to Dean Koontz! Haha. He is definitely my most read author. I was constantly reading him when I was younger. That is the first Odd Thomas. I think I got through the first 3-4 Odd Thomas before I went on a long reading hiatus in college . He has so many in the Odd Thomas collection. It has been a while since I’ve read Dean Koontz, but I can tell you some that I enjoyed a lot. The top 3 I remember besides Odd Thomas are Tick Tock, Phantoms and Fear Nothing.

This seems like a great TBR for Autumn. I hope you enjoy The Ten Thousand Doors of January. I know it’s popular, but I credit it with putting me into a terrible reading slump a couple of years ago. I think The Lost Apothecary was pretty popular a couple of years ago too. I remember reading it after seeing it on Goodreads Most Read lists I think. I haven’t heard of Long Live Evil, but it seems interesting. As for types of videos, I recently saw Emily Fox do an Autumn Reading Tag I believe. I’m sure there are also other tag videos that are out there. I like reading wrap ups and recommendations too.

Skipping The Love Hypothesis for sure lol I'm in my 40's so i'm for sure too old for that book 😅 I read The Kiss Quotident (not sure if i spelled that correctly) by Helen Huang a few days aho and it started ok, but i gave it 3 stars too. Same reasons as your 3 stars for The Love Hypothesis. It was quite toxic imo and way too much male/hero/savior behaviour. ok on to the rest of your video 😊

I agree with you on rating memoirs. It is a book after all. You're not rating people's life, you're just rating the book (writing style, actual content such as what the author decided to include, etc.). In terms of Colleen Hoover, I also only read one book by her, which I really disliked. Maybe you should try Penelope Douglas; "Corrupt" series? It's dark romance but I think those were really good. I love how eclectic your taste is btw. Great channel, keep it up!

I bought The Bee sting and it's on my tbr. I'm really curious, because it's getting so much hype. I had a similar experience with The Secret History by Donna Tart. I had to put it away for a few weeks, because i could'nt get through it, but ended up really liking it. It's boring and exciting at the same time with unlikable characters but incredibly well written 😊

Twisted love was sooo bad😭 when I finished it I was like wtf did I just read. I did like twisted games tho. It was the best book in that series in my opinion🤷🏽‍♀️

I also have Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of faeries on my tbr pile. I might start it after Uprooted (but first i have to finish Jamaica Inn by Daphne de Maurier. So many books so little time lol)

I really enjoy Lisa Jewell books. I liked None of this is true, but it's not my fave from her. Have you read anything from Ruth Ware or Nicci French? October has been a slow reading month for me, but my 5 star fave from October has to be Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

Well now...quite refreshing....a fellow reader....a rare occasion in a world of mindless entertainment...our backgrounds and what we read are polar opposites but my congratulations....oh by the way since you like eerie events I recommend you look up an old movie 1963 "the haunting".....enjoy:)

I've not read Colleen Hoover or Sarah J Maas, and I'm not sure if I want to. Out of the two, Maas probably interests me more. I like your take on the books, since you give a balanced view. I do want to read Cassandra Clare one day, so maybe I'll tackle that before Sarah J Maas. I enjoyed the video. And thanks for introducing me to Twelve Nights at Rotter House. That sounds amazing.

Have you read anything by Mhairi McFarlane? She writes rom com girl meets boy and they end up together always, but i like her writing style. Good dose of humour and romance with enough tensiin here and there. And the characters aren't stupid or naive so that's a plus lol I have the Seven year slip on my tbr list, but i'm not sure about it. Have you read it? The reviews are really good, but the blurb puts me a bit off?
