HP, BHP, and WHP are all units used to measure a vehicle's power, but they differ in what they measure and how they are measured:
HP
Horsepower, or HP, is a measure of an engine's power output at the flywheel. It's calculated using the engine's stroke, RPM, and displacement. HP doesn't account for power losses from the engine.
BHP
Brake horsepower, or BHP, is a measure of an engine's power output before any losses from the transmission, driveline, alternator, water pump, and other components. BHP is measured using a brake-style dynamometer.
WHP
Wheel horsepower, or WHP, is a measure of the power that reaches the wheels of a vehicle after losses through the drivetrain and other parts. WHP is measured at the rear wheels using a standard dynamometer. WHP is often lower than BHP due to these losses.
