    This video is great. Thank you. What size was the board you used for the divider?

    • @bobbybuildsit
      @bobbybuildsit Місяць тому

      Thank you for watching and the kind words. The divider is 48 inches wide and 32 inches tall. The base is is roughly the same size. I was limited in my means to transport plywood when I got that sheet so had the store cut it into 3 equal pieces as best they could.

    It'll still walk if you do that next to hard grain lines. Better to use a drilling jig, as inconvenient as they can be sometimes

    • @bobbybuildsit
      @bobbybuildsit Місяць тому

      I'd like one of those that essentially turns the drill into a portable drill press. Not sure which one though.

    • @jeremyparris6121
      @jeremyparris6121 Місяць тому

      @bobbybuildsit I've found it better to use a drilling block that clamps to the work for big boards, a drill press when it's convenient, or a doweling jig for 2x4s, 4x4's, etc. I'll even use the doweling jig to make a jig out of a 2x4 chunk when I want consistent spacing on cosmetic stuff. The ones you're talking about just end up making your drill more cumbersome most of the time

      I can't speak for other contractor saws as I've not used them. I have experience with this saw and some very nice cabinet table saws. • @bobbybuildsit

      Since the bit is pointing up on the table it is spinning the opposite direction than if hand held. The wood is pulled toward the fence when moving right to left on the table. Left to right pushes it away. The feather board pushed it back into the bit, causing the wood to shoot out.
