Dr. Scuba Presents: Otto the Octopus
Otto (Eight in Italian) was a friendly octopus in the Maldives with whom I spent over 20 minutes nonstop filming his antics. He changed color, texture, shape, and pattern, all in an attempt to say "bet you can't see me now!". He even cleans his face with his tentacles. This was one of my most memorable dives of all time. Please enjoy Otto!

This was 2 weeks before my trip to Roatán. I got certified and stayed in Sunnyside in front of spooky channel. Dove with Sandy Bay Divers. Fell in love with the sport. Diving again at Looe Key Reef next week!! Logging dives 5-8 🧜🦈🐠🐡🐟
I recommend Trujillo in Honduras. It's right across from Roatan. You can also dive there & see the second biggest rain forest in the 🌎.

Filmed with GoPro Hero 9 in 1080P HD, with large video lights. Edited in FinalCut Pro. Music comes from MusicBed.com, which provides licensable music that is permitted for UA-cam. There are other similar providers of music.
How deep are the dives out there?
It depends. The majority of this footage is less than 60 feet, which is typical dive depth. The wreck was deeper, as much as 95 feet at the bottom. A few of the shots got to 80 feet. I have powerful lights which is why you see great color regardless of the depth.
