A series of stories on Maine's Question 1, a March 3, 2020, a "people's veto" ballot referendum that sought to strike down the state's new vaccine law, taking effect in September 2021, which bans all but medical exemptions for kindergarten students to receive standard childhood vaccines. The YES campaing garnered 27% of the vote, abd the NO campaign, 73%, so the people's veto lost.

Phil Hirschkorn reports for WMTW on the 2020 U.S. Senate race between incumbent Republican Susan Collins and Democratic challenger Sara Gideon, one of the most watched in the country and by far the most expensive in Maine history.
