My first visit to your flosstube, I loved seeing your work, so beautiful. Enjoyed the clip from the retreat, as very new to cross stitch so don’t know what they are like. Are there any in SE London? My favourite seaside spot is on Brighton Pier with a coffee and freshly cooked doughnut 🥰👍🏻

Retreats are just a lovely escape from reality and spending time with other stitchers enjoying our hobby together. There are more and more retreats popping up all the time which is great. I highly recommend getting on Instagram if you’re not already as there is a fabulous crossstitch community on there, and from there you’ll get to know about different stitchy events going on. Oh and doughnuts at the seaside is just 😘 perfection! 🪡🧵 Emma x

Finally got chance to watch you 😊. The fridge magnet was a cover kit from Cross stitch collection in the late 90s and I have it floating about somewhere! Love the sewing finishes. I used to enter the Cheshire show when in the WI and the comment that makes me laugh still after almost 20 years is ‘ there was too much fruit in the fruit cake ‘ 😂😂. I’ve got the ABC from Jardin so if you fancy a SAL on it, let me know. My favourite seaside town is Llandudno . Happy stitching x

Love your wips! Queen of thread is looking so good and the chatelaine is just gorgeous! Retreats look so much fun. My happy place is next to the sea but my favourite seaside spot isn’t such a great area but I’ve got to go with Clacton or Southend because it’s filled with such happy memories growing up. If you go with in the world then son bou. It’s just the most beautiful beach and sky blue water 🩵

My favourite seaside beach has to be Embleton on the NorthEast coast; many happy memories of a summer holiday there and playing cricket in the fog with the kids. That little dresser fridge magnet was a freebie in the early 1990's from a magazine called 'Needlecraft', I believe. I stitched it for my parents' fridge. They live in Weston Super Mare, which is my favourite coastal town to visit, simply because they live there. I don't need to win the chart as I already have it! But I did watch you 'til the very end.
