Just like each jewel on a sparkling necklace, every island on the
Indonesian archipelago has its own personality and culture to create one
shining whole. To reflect this, the dance we are performing for you today,
draws upon dance style from different Indonesian region. Its name Ratna
Sari translate to “essence of jewel” and alludes to the similarity of
Indonesia’s strings of islands to string of jewels. The accompaniment is a
short traditional gamelan composition, SAYUK (“Together in Harmony).

CANYON CREST ACADEMY GAMELAN ENSEMBLE PROGRAM December 7, 2024 Pangkur was compose in 18th century, based on a traditional Javanese song, “Macapat pangkur paripurno,”. This piece is one of the most famous traditional gamelan composition, as it can be performed in a variety of tunings and modes.

CANYON CREST ACADEMY GAMELAN ENSEMBLE PROGRAM December 7, 2024 WONG NDONYO means people of the world. It is a lively, contemporary piece influenced by Indonesian Pop music called Dangdut which is partly derived and fused from Hindustani, Arabic, Malay music, and to lesser extent, local folk music.

Bringing out the inner melodies is the secret of this masterpiece and here superbly executed.
I am not gonna lie, I liked C-2 over the Lewitt's which is crazy cause i love Lewitts.
I'm old so my hearing isn't the best. They all sound pretty good to me:(. I do feel that the male voices are a little low with the C-2 but it's only a very slight difference. Now, the Lewitt mics are not in AIR mode in this recording and that might make a difference to you. I have another test where there is a low bass note in the background and there you can really hear a difference between mics in the low bass. The C-2 is not in that test though but you can compare the Lewitt 140 with the 440. So, placement is probably makes a big difference as well. I do listen with Senheisser HD 580 headphones.

omg yess king! strong man, hard work, go on! im trying to play it because i love rachmaninoff & richter, but im a beginner and it takes so much focuss and training (and im playing it 50% of your speed..)
didn't know that Aceu could play the piano so well.
Beautiful piece, you play well. I would play it a little slower at some parts to bring out a little more atmosphere.
