You three did a really nice breakdown of Labyrinth. Love the little sprinkling of pictures and videos throughout to showcase. Also, I saw Jill and her husband, loved the Mina and Vlad, though never got to say anything to them. Pretty sure I saw Darcie's bone witch as well, thought it was a really cool look. And regarding last year, was Jill's husband handing out Beetlejuice business cards? If so, that was an awesome trinket and delightfully clever! I've still got mine. I attended both Friday and Saturday this year as well as last year, both times in my full living doll ensemble. This year was a long purple-and-gold brocade coat with a floor-length black skirt for Friday, and Saturday was a svelte peacock-themed dress with an overskirt and bolero with a pattern of the eye-feathers. Last year was a black and red princess gown for Friday (I call it my Black Widow, Disney Princess Edition dress) while Saturday was a Victorian-esque black and gold outfit with a bustle and matching bolero in a floral brocade. For next year... I'm not sure. I was leaning towards bringing out a costume I made a few years ago that's based on Moxxi from Borderlands 2, though with a little more fanciful element to it. On the observations and suggestions side of things, Friday is definitely easier to move around. It tends to be rather less crowded than Saturday night. You will bump into fewer people, get stepped on less, get hit by wings less, and so on. In that same vein, a great thing is to practice wearing your outfit and moving around in it. Large, long skirts can be awkward to maneuver, especially when it comes to stairs Big wings are freaking dangerous to everyone around you, while even small wings take some consideration of your movement if they extend past your shoulders at all. And yeah, comfortable shoes are important and can be concealed if you're wearing something longer. Also, it will be hot and steamy because Los Angeles, so plan for that. Hydration is important! And so are bathroom breaks! So having an option to drink and use the restroom is really helpful. Backup costume options can be helpful. A small repair kit is an invaluable thing to pack as well. The convenience of staying in the Biltmore is a major benefit. Those rooms sell fast, though. And like you brought up, checkout on Sunday is a big challenge. You will be waiting for assistance, elevator, car line, etc. It's a lot. Late checkout or staying until Monday to give yourself breathing room is helpful if you can make it happen.

I'm still smiling everytime I think of Labyrinth. I was The Birth of Venus on Saturday night. I had so much fun. Darcy I was so sorry to have missed you Satuday night. I am glad we got to see eachother on Friday. Loved your trinkets both nights! The masquarade key is on my chatelaine belt. I think this next year I am going more goth. I sort of alternate every year. It will definetly have lights and hopefully not as hot as the Venus costume. I totally over heated in the ballroom this year.

As a straight male who just happens to be a romantic fool, I agree with almost everything you have said in this review. With all respect to all the other couples in the show, and for that matter the actors in general, but the explosive chemistry between Nicola and Luke is so palpable that you could have had the two characters sit down and read a phone book (yes, I know they didn’t exist back then) and I would have watch their interactions. There was a breakdown of the three seasons main couples screen time in their specific seasons (SN 1-113 min, SN 2-89 min, SN 3-78 min) and it is easy to see that Netflix was worried that people would take issue with a full figured woman getting a love interest. So much so that they made as many side stories (side stories by season: SN 1-6, SN 2-8, SN3-11) as possible to attempt to make everyone else happy. For them to fat shame or even to, appear to be fat shaming the most beautiful and sensual actress in the cast is reprehensible to say the least. Also, the following stat if no other will shock most: Colin and Penelope interacting with one another on screen during season 3 - 16.1% of the total screen time of the season. Of the three main couples so far, Colin and Penelope should have been the couple with the most interaction time due to their prior friendship, connections between the families, and simply the proximity of their homes for god sake! However the season 1 couple had the most one on one time at almost 22% of the screen time. Also, there is verified proof that a minimum of four Colin & Penelope scenes were cut in the name of keeping episodes 7 & 8 time more consistent. Of the four, two were lengthening scenes that did make it into the show, one was a montage with music of additional sexual encounters between the two after the lady Whistledown reveal to the Ton, and the third was a completely new scene of banter with the two of them in bed talking about editing Colin’s manuscript into a book. To me, the everyday interactions between them without dramatic high stakes are the scenes that mean the most to me. It reveals to me how they show their love on a daily basis that warms the heart. There is a petition signed by almost 75k people who want Netflix the release the scenes as intended or the release them separately. As for Eloise, if you look back at all three season she is the most self centered terrible friend and family member. How can you be best friends with Penelope AND your closest family member being Colin which she gives a nod to in season one, and NOT realize that your best friend has some type of feelings for your brother? The only way that’s possible is if you are so self centered that you see nothing of the people around you that you say you care for. Lastly, they made Colin into a bandwagon guy! The writers have him standing by during Pen’s speech to the ton to see how it goes before he decides whether to have her back?!!!??? If that were my wife I would have rushed to her side the minute the queen fingered her as Whistledown. If she turned to me and said, I got this and walked forward to the center by herself then I would have respected her wish and waited there. But if she gave me a nod to go with her or held my hand and it was clear she wanted me up there to stand behind or beside her, you bet your ass I would have. Instead he waits till TWO other people go talk to her first (Lady Danbury, then Pen’s mom) then decides that people are okay with it enough to talk to her…. REALLY???!!!!!??? Anyway, wonderful review and I agree with all of you that Polin didn’t get their fair treatment and Colin got written as a weeny.

What a keen observation 🤌🏾 I also agree they missed so many opportunities to have a great season. 😭 Also the makeup 💄 was so heavy it was a bit distracting I also attribute it to fat phobia. When Colin didn't stand by her side during the lull I was pissed. Plus I thought the queen 👑 would make her the 💎🎻🤷🏾‍♀️🤏🏾 a little unrealistic but hey.

We strongly agree with you points! We are signing that petition to get those scenes added back in. This was such a stellar opportunity for Netflix to make a body positivity statement and they dropped the ball. Which is so disappointing since they had time to plan it and chose to rush it up earlier in the book timeline.

Jesus Christ no what Francesca story have yall been reading? Fran loved John from the first moment they met and wss utterly devasted when he died leading her to suffer s miscarriage "When they met it was not an all consuming passion rather a meeting of hearts but at that moment Francesca knew she had found the one person who understands her". Also the no chemistry? Are we watching the same show? Michael loved Fran the moment they met but she saw him as nothing but a friend. There was no romantic chemistry between them till years after John's death ehen Frannie decided she wanted to marry again cause she longed to have s child . In her final note violet writers "She was lucky to have loved twice in her life. But her happiness with Michael isnt the same as with John because there is no measure for such a thing". Its a beautiful story of love, loss and to see people misinterpret it cause its "steamy" breaks my heart.

Only two people in our group have read the book, but our comments were based on what we saw in the show, not our opinion of the book. We are excited to see how they expand on Francesca’s story in the show in comparison to how the books handled her complex but beautiful love stories.

Your Lydia was awesome and Princess Peach was reallly cute. And the guys were great too. I was the the theater in an 18th century dress with puppets on my skirt. My pre Mondona is coming this year (his first time) He doesn't get to choose what he wears. I haven't started making mine yet.
