    One FYI: I could hear the pump working, but fluid would just barely come out. I bought a replacement pump, but when I went to take the old one out, I found there was a long string of some congealed gunk extending into its intake. Pulled that out and back flushed and now it works fine. So if you can hear your motor running, maybe try that first.

    What if I drilled home into the tree for my tab and water stormed out? Not wise to use that hole, correct?

    • @Soknik01
      @Soknik01 5 місяців тому

      Do not build any structure connected to that tree. If water is pouring out of it then chances are that tree is rotting inside.

    Are your rafter ties nailed to the beam AND the joists or only to the beam? Or are the joists just sitting in the ties to allow for movement?

    • @erikshowto1304
      @erikshowto1304 Рік тому

      The rafter ties are screwed to both the joists and the beam. Lateral movement takes place at the tree bolt, as the mount at the bolt can slide over the threads.

    • @erikshowto1304

      No, as long as the tree is healthy and you don't use too many TABs at the same elevation.

    I watched this video because my rear window sprayer stopped working but the windshield works fine. I was wondering if there were separate pumps for front and rear (No). I could hear the pump but no spray on the rear window. After you mentioned the rear hose coming off in the engine compartment, I checked the connection location you showed and sure enough the rear hose had blown off and blew off again when I activated the rear after re-attaching the hose. Attached a small hose clamp to the connection, removed the rear sprayer to flush out the rear line, put it all back together and hoping for the best. Thanks for the clue.

    looks great! I like the netted fencing material you used around the perimeter- have you had any issues with your kids trying to climb it?

    • @erikshowto1304
      @erikshowto1304 2 роки тому

      No issues with them trying to climb it. The 2x2 mesh is too small for shoes to fit into, so that helps. I'm sure they could find a way to climb over if they really wanted to, but they have been pretty smart about it so far.

    How do you test that the pump is no good?

  • @maigematthews5620
    @maigematthews5620 2 роки тому

    How much weight do those supports hold? And please, if you have any tips to help, it’ll be greatly appreciated. I have just shy of an acre of land that I would love to turn into an oak tree forest. The white oak tree is the most common and hardest tree strength tree that will grow here in Cheraw, SC. This is to be my little baby, a 8-10 year project for my grandchildren to enjoy. I’ll build a massive treehouse for them to turn into princess castle or a fort.

    • @erikshowto1304
      @erikshowto1304 2 роки тому

      Good question but difficult to answer. I've estimated the bolts in the trees could each hold at least a thousand pounds, but the 2x support frame is likely the weaker point. Oaks are great but any healthy hardwood will work fine; just avoid more than one bolt at the same elevation to avoid stressing the tree. Good luck!
