This boat design reminds me of the F1 engineering. And I love F1 cars.

When weather is good, everyone smiles... But in bad weather, smiles could become awfull grimace. These front windows would become frightening and probably dangerous... But catamarans at not at sea in bad weather, obviously.

Gorgeous boat. I'm fairly certain that anybody suggesting that a quality Gunboat can't be made in China has never worked with composites on any level. Its the design and process that are the most challenging. The labor is fairly straightforward - just about anybody can do it. Hell, a full-time composites tech at Scaled Composites (building rockets) only gets paid in the low to mid 30's. This is all, of course, aside from the borderline racist notion that the Chinese lack the skill-sets to build a quality boat.

As China becomes increasingly aggressive and embolden, grabbing and claiming all the water territories in that important part of the world war or a very serious thing CAN HAPPEN. The United States will be involved owing to its formal alliance with some countries there currently bearing the brunt of China's bully, expansionist policies. Then US European allies will follow suit. An embargo or trade war might ensure In the end the Gunboat owners will have a BIG HEADACHE. I like GB, but it's very difficult to overlook the fact that it's made in China and all the associated negative things about it...incl how that country is behaving like a rogue bully. I simply don't want to put money on countries that do not respect international law (UNCOS), a country that's always ready to threaten other nations but grumbles a lot when free world point out to its atrocious human right record, a country ruled in absolutely power by a mob who is not accountable to its own citizens, a country that perpetuates regimes like in North Korea, etc. I hope GB also builds the 60 in the USA so I can order one immediately.

Let me see, there are a lot of Chinese there yes. There are also a lot of Kiwi's there too, if they hadn't made the move they would never have been able to have access to so much materials and equipment! So vis-a-vis I guess! So what do you think of the GB40 being made in Holland? Success or failure? GB manufacturing keeps moving around the globe, what's with that do you suppose?

Don't see too many Chinese crew on the boat , probably had to work. I am sure that some of the factory crew got to sail the boat at a later time...

ha ha, i like it - so maybe GB's are disposable too! But really the best bit about that GB60 is the fact it was made by a bunch of Kiwi guys in China! Don't you find it strange that GB's have been produced all around the world? Imagine Ferrari doing the same! What would it tell you about Ferrari HQ and not the place of manufacture! If Ferrari swapped base to produce different models it might say they were shakey or shadey. There's more to it than meets the eye!
